  1. I do think he deserves a move and that he will be sold but I disagree. He is under contract and if Ipswich are making lowball offers he should stay here and get on with it. You don't always get what you want.
  2. Fleck was a panic signing. Horrific injury history and looked unfit even before his body broke down the last time. He won't be a regular starter anywhere because he will be out injured. I cannot imagine Eustace wants him back. Maybe he didn't want to rule out Fleck returning because that would be a bad look if the club decided to crawl back to Fleck with an offer.
  3. I think expectations were just even lower before these signings. It looked like the likes of Vale and Markanday could be starting a lot of games next season.
  4. Can we please sign a decent goalkeeper now with just a week left until the season starts?
  5. Surprised to see fans on here wanting him back. He didn't start many games and I thought he looked unimpressive as our poor run of form just went on and on. Of course he is young and has good physical attributes but still seems like a gamble for that fee.
  6. Correct. But we shouldn't forget that he will be "like a new signing". Like Travis and Hedges.
  7. Pathetic to be signing 37 year old McFadzean now after allowing him to miss pre-season.
  8. While it might be his biggest strength, Vale still has a horrific goalscoring record. Poor player at this level and has already been given too many chances.
  9. Even worse when JRC, Sigurdsson and Hedges get injured.
  10. Maybe that's what Gestede meant when he said that he would improve communications. That he would create an brfcs account and anonymously interact with the fans.
  11. Worrying that we haven't signed a new goalkeeper yet. Pears is a major liability and needs to be replaced. It shouldn't be difficult to make an upgrade. Just as an example Ben Wilson might be Coventry's third choice keeper now after they signed Oliver Dovin. Too expensive?
  12. Likely any interested club just has to make a lowball offer and wait for Waggott to call a few days before the transfer window closes.
  13. Does it have to be one extreme or the other? It's just one of the things that made him sound like a yes man.
  14. Well, in Eustace's own words: This football club has some fantastic young players, the recruitment has been very good, the coaching has been excellent and it’s my job to try and evolve that and put my own stamp on it.
  15. Cowardly tactics as in having a loser mentality. Cowardly tactics as in playing very defensively against poor teams even at home because of fear of losing. We didn't win many games.
  16. Cannot agree. His interviews are very Kean-esque even though he hasn't directly praised the owners. Him first praising the quality of the squad and then resorting to cowardly tactics to grind out (mediocre) results. The "no excuses except every single excuse in the book culture". "No major surgery required". And more recently "Hedges is like a new signing".
  17. Whenever he refers to "conversations he's had with his sources" I imagine it's actually just him lurking on this forum.
  18. Chrisene was mediocre at best. Good athlete but little skill. The way the squad is shaping up I do think he could be useful especially if Eustace persists with the caveman tactics from last season. If he's cheap to bring in on loan I could see it happen. When talking about our potential wingers, it's important to remember that JRC, Hedges and Sigurdsson are injury prone. Dolan is extremely inconsistent and Markanday is not good enough for the Championship. None of them are fast.
  19. Surely Waggott has a cunning plan. Verbally agree to a juicy multiyear deal, then present a lower salary on a one year deal when the player is in the building. Surely the player will think feck it, since I already travelled here I will sign it anyway.
  20. Since it was a very strange appointment (to say the least), what does he think made him stand out compared to the other candidates? Did he reach out to the club or the other way around? Can he describe how he experienced the recruitment process?
  21. Really a pathetic appointment. Gestede was likely brought on to the gravy train because Waggott thought it would appease the more naive fans. Maybe Steve Kean hinted to Gestede that there's easy money to be made which could have tempted Gestede to approach the club. By all accounts he is just following the script Waggott gives him so there's no point in asking him any questions about the club.
  22. Looks like he started last season as Spezia's third choice keeper in Serie B. After the first choice keeper left he perhaps became their second choice keeper but he had no league appearances last season as Spezia finished 15th in Serie B. Released when his contract expired.
  23. As bad as Telalovic performed, at least it seemed like he cared and tried his best. Vale looks like he's forced to show up in a Rovers shirt and cannot be bothered.
  24. So often the ball just seems to go right through Wahlstedt into the net. Abysmal rebound control as well. Pears is very poor as well though. Saying someone is better than Pears is not much of a compliment.
  25. Apparently Wahlstedt is signing for AGF Aarhus. Fee reported to be around 1 million Euros (danish media).
