  1. A truly awesome gaming experience. I only bought it yesterday but I'm already hooked. Amazing graphics, simple controls and a Devil May Cry style combo system make this utterly essential. If you haven't got it, waste no more time reading this. Get out to the shops.
  2. The truly sad thing is that the Express is clearly catering for a sizeable section of newspaper consumers. Apparently people want to read this right-wing garbage.
  3. Did anyone watch Peter Taylor's documentary on Al Q'aida on BBC2 just now? It was a terrifying insight into the type of internet terrorism that these @#/?s are making their stock in trade. The extent of the proliferation of images, rhetoric and even training videos is just one worrying aspect of this new type of international terrorism.
  4. This was a tragic incident. God help him and his family.
  5. It's strange that none of the devices went off. It was either amateurs or more of these f**kers firing shots across London's bow. @#/?s.
  6. No sh*t.
  7. That's the frightening thing. These guys were integrated to a certain degree. They were British born, educated and part of the local community. They had family, financial and social ties that did not mark them out as unusual, dangerous or unhinged. They weren't living alone, spouting nonsense on loud speakers outside the local mosque, or reading the Koran upside down. These lunatics were fathers, brothers, employees and tax-payers. Then one day four of them left their houses and families with the sole purpose of murdering innocent people. They didn't care who they killed, but were willing to end their own lives for some twisted take on their religion. They were attacking the West and that was enough. It's sickening and no end of right v. left bickering on here can change the fact that this was a horrific crime. The deaths of those people going to and from work shouldn't be sullied by personal feuds.
  8. Great post.
  9. Perhaps I'm missing the point but how will banning all beards longer than 5 inches keep us safe?
  10. I don't think so. We do have the advantage of playing in a proper competition however.
  11. I graduated today at 2.30. I don't know about my fellow graduates, but I felt anything but joyous. A truly terrible act, the vulnerability of the Western world is all too real. These f**king lunatics see us all as targets, no matter what our religious beliefs, political convictions or social class. Tragic.
  12. Amazing. While we're at it, what are tonight's lotto results?
  13. There is a certain technique to this mission. The key word is efficiency. You can't risk any mistakes or wasted time-your fuel will run out otherwise. The best approach to take is to snuff out the guy on the bike first, then the nearest van and then the remaining two targets further away. The best way to take them is to land the plane behind the target as it moves along the street. As the guns on your plane are extremely powerful, simply line yourself up with a clear shot and pull the trigger until the target is dead. This method is definitely recommended with regard to the first two hits. The next two can be taken out in the same way, although if your pushed for time you may want to slowly line them up while descending and blast them from above. In this situation make sure the targets are on a straight road and unlikely to turn out of your line of fire any time soon. If you only get an initial hit or they hear you firing, the target will either fire back or accelerate thus making the mission harder.
  14. 17 is his prefered number. He wears it for South Africa as well.
  15. Wow that's original. Did Rooney try to kill one of your pets in the last year? You really have taken a dislike to the guy.
  16. Did you just have that one brewing up inside you Smithy?
  17. We just finished my eleventh season as a Rovers supporter.
  18. I'm reading Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. Great story, crap writing...really crap. His penchant for naff cliffhangers or one-liners at the end of every chapter (resolved at the start of the next chapter-which often starts on the same page) is matched only by his laboured creation of false atmosphere and tension. The Da Vinci Code suffers from the same problem. In spite of this, as entertainment goes, these books are great.
  19. You two really should take it outside. (My money's on the scouser though)
  20. Vinjay seems to be missing the point of the trust. A trust is just a big money pot, nor are the Walker family jealously guarding the funds lest they be wasted on players like Amoruso or Matteo. I doubt any of us are aware of the type of trust, nor the precise terms of it. The trustees are goverened by common law and legislation on this point and cannot just spoon out cash when the fans start whinging.
  21. Did Sinama-Pongolle not score a crucial goal against Olympiakos? The guy was a vital part of the team earlier in the year before getting injured.
  22. Why is he a plonker? Because he's got an eccentric haircut? Plonker is right.
  23. Awesome game of football. Liverpool's comeback was the stuff of legend. Not the greatest victory in itself, but the circumstances probably elevate it to the top of the list in terms of its significance. I even had a stupid big grin on my face whn Gerrard lifted the trophy-a far cry (cry being the operative word) from the last time an English team lifted the European Cup.
  24. I went around to a friend's house to watch the coverage on Sky. My brother, my father (a Wednesday fan) and I went through a 90 minute emotional rollercoaster. We couldn't believe our luck when Shearer stuck it away. Then West Ham took the lead. Unbelievable. Things got progressively worse when Barnes equalised, United scored at West Ham and we proceeded to miss every chance that came our way. I collapsed on the floor when Redknapp somehow put that free-kick in, the tears running down my face. Within seconds, I was up again. The final whistle had gone at Upton Park. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
  25. Will this actually be a bad thing? Some incredibly rich chap is going to buy the world's richest club. We're not talking about Wrexham here. Yes, Glazer is there to turn a profit, but Abramovich didn't buy Chelsea as an act of generosity. United's soul (if ever there was one) was flogged long ago. As a shining light of capitalism throughout the world, the club will naturally attract this kind of attention from prospective buyers. The tiresome whining emanating from these 'hardcore' supporters lacks logic and smacks of nothing more than them masquerading as fans of real club. F*** them, and their silly banners.
