Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones is good. However, it's nowhere near as good as Warrior Within which comes second only to God Of War on my list of last year's favourite games.

Are you referring to Rovers or Celtic now? -
Well that's sort of my point. Any agreement of confidentiality would have been between the Sheikh and Sven. It was the News of The World that revealed the story. Sven had never made any such agreement with them.

Breach of confidence? Against who? He's suing the News of The World. But he didn't agree to talk to them. He agreed to talk to the fake sheikh. I can't see this lasting...

In spite of Lawrenson's positive prediction, I think we'll lose this. We've no Bellamy to put the ball in the net. Shearer also needs to beat Milburn's record, so obviously he'll do it against the only team he's ever won a trophy with. -

The Sun's back page was suitably restrained today: 'SAVAGED'. This was complemented with a picture of Savage holding darling Wayne in a headlock... *sigh* -
I roared with a mixture of amusement and frustration as Kuqi, with a clear sight of goal, thumped the ball straight ahead of him and out of play-absolutely awful.

I noticed that also. What a bloody joke. -
I'm sorry but what on earth are you on about?

[Archived] Rovers 2-1 Portsmouth

It was nice to get three points but we really weren't good second half-shaky, stunted and pegged back by a truly woeful Pompey side. -
[Archived] Wigan Athletic (0-3) Rovers
Rovermatt replied to cn174's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Those were two absolutely scorching goals from MGP and Reid. We looked a class above a pretty decent Wigan side. Two excellent results over the festive season have moved us into a good position in the league and with a home banker in hand (hopefully) against a truly woeful Sunderland team, we could be in the top six in no time. However we clearly need a quality player to partner Bellamy. Sutton could be the perfect foil. -
I bought Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within for the Xbox. It only cost me a tenner on play.com. It's the best value for money I've ever had in relation to a video game. It's very similar to God Of War-beautiful graphics, compelling gameplay, addictive fighting and manageable puzzles. If you haven't got it I would recommend it. Parents: a great (and cheap) chrimbo present for kids. You won't see them for days.

[Archived] So Are You Involved In The World Cup?

So the hysteria that is displayed on these pages every other year carries not a hint of any of those things? I prefer to say nothing when/if England go out. -

I did leave out the French. I knew I'd missed something. -

You're having a laugh. The Dutch, Spanish, Italians, Argies, Czechs and Portuguese all have squads capable of winning the thing. Each has as good a chance as England. Yes Sven has good players at his disposal but to place them second only to Brazil is pretty deluded. -

The US will be lucky to get out of that group. Yes they did quite well in Japan and Korea, but the Czechs and the Italians are a completely different kettle of fish to the listless Portuguese side the US defeated four years ago. The Americans need consistent competition against the top sides in Europe and South America to sharpen their considerable potential. From a petty point of view, I have no wish for nation to do well in the World Cup when the vast majority of its citizens couldn't give a toss about the greatest sporting event in the world. -

We got lucky today. Very lucky. Who cares though? Those were three very welcome points. -

Hardly optimism. Nor was my post 'anti-English' in any way. -

Absolute nonsense. For God's sake Smithy not everything you disagree with is down to political correctness. This is the World Cup. It would be a farce if there was no representation from Africa, Asia, or the Caribbean. I seem to remember Senegal and South Korea doing quite well at the previous tournament. The European Championships cater for the European teams. Latvia and Greece went to Portugal without a hint of pedigree. Should they have been exempt because they hadn't a hope of winning it? As it turned out the Greeks did pretty good. -

Don't agree with this bit: I still absolutely despise the @#/?s. To stop now would play into the hands of those United followers who claim other fans are simply jealous. I've never once been jealous of United. I couldn't give a toss about Chelsea or Arsenal winning the league. ABU. -

Truly brilliant. Nothing less than they deserve. -
[Archived] Rovers 0-2 Everton
Rovermatt replied to 1864roverite's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
No. Though as Jim says our playing well means nothing if we can't score, something we have failed to do in three games now. We allowed a faltering Everton side to come to our ground and take three points. Yes Todd's dismissal was unfair but once again, our lack of a real cutting edge compounds our circumstances. -

A simply unacceptable result and performance. When was the last time James McFadden scored? When was the last time Everton scored more than one in a league match? Not this season anyway. Never worry, welcome to Ewood. Disgusting.
