I remember Neil Webb getting a similar injury and he struggled to regain his previous form. -

Career finisher ? -
All I saw second half was their keeper launching long balls into the old inside left channel over half way line onto Jutkiewicz’s head. He was getting flick ons back into centre field. They didn’t always go to a Brum player but we struggled to deal with the loose balls. Anybody else care to comment ? The same player came on as sub in the home game and caused havoc then.

His positional play is his weakness at full back. As you say that was a guilt edged chance they missed and he was nowhere to be seen. Having said that he was our MOM without a doubt. He’s got to be better than Morton in midfield. Maybe when Brittain gets off the treatment table. -

There was trouble after yesterdays game at the station. The train back to Manchester was held up and about 12 coppers boarded it with a young lad in tow with blood streaming down his face. They were obviously looking for the culprits. Our train pulled out before it was sorted. -
I’m done with this walking football. It’s so easy to play against it’s untrue. Imagine yourself playing in a game were you can run but your opponents can’t. Easy peasy. It just allows your opponents to maintain a shape. We aren’t asking them questions they can’t answer. How many times were players coming to pick up the ball yet were facing our goals ? Suicide football. I couldn’t believe their first goal. Almost right after the KO a lazy understrength pass from out wide straight into the danger area. Ridiculous. Kaminski got down like he was getting into bed also. He should have thrown his cap on a shot like that. Same thing applies to their equaliser. That was really soft. Time to give Pears a game I think. Kaminski has thrown too many in lately for me. A lot of our passing was under hit. You can blame the pitch if you like but Big Club didn’t seem to have the same problem. We got well and truly bullied again yesterday, we are a soft touch all over the pitch. Too many just dangle a foot in or try and nick the ball away when a real block tackle is called for. They aimed every long ball to Jutkiewicz and he won every flick on, it was crying out for Ayala to be out there to combat that. I lost count of the number of times we got craftily nudged off the ball just before it arrived, we’re way too lightweight all over the pitch but especially in midfield. The ref had his eyes painted on in that respect. I could go on and on - Gallagher, going backwards at a rate of knots. This tip tappy play doesn’t suit him at all. BBD - BB is back. If I was the Villareal scout who recommended him I’d be really worried. Hedges - injured again. Dack did well but faded after 70 minute plus missing a really good chance in the second half. The two in midfield - Morton ? We’re carrying him I’m afraid. Physically he’s at under 21 level. Buckley was a bit better but not a lot. As a pair it’s not working and it never well. Changes needed there. Pickering , playing one level above his ability. The two lads at centre half, in-experienced players against men who know the game. They never got near Jutkiewicz in the air. Kaminski, a game to forget, he got really lucky with the one that went through his legs and just wide in the first half. JRC was our best player and the only one to put a foot in. JDT ? I’m not impressed. I’d have been just as disapointed if we’d have held on for a 2-1. Most of the time we’re playing nothing football. This season is going to fizzle out into nothingness. Play like that against the dingles and it’ll be a car crash.

We were in the first half a dozen queueing. We’d gone by time the photographers arrived. We froze our nuts off. One of our pals caught the first bus over from Rochdale that Sunday morning, walked up to the ticket office and get his ticket easy peasy !

I queued up all night outside the ground to get tickets for the City game in the late 1960’s.

He’ll have his hands full keeping them up but if they were to go down they’d be favourites to come straight back up. -

I’d never watch another team although after the appointment of Coyle I walked away from the club until he left. Not because he was an ex Dingle but because he’d failed badly everywhere he’d been apart from Burnley. It was so obvious he was going to fail badly at Rovers. I have the added burden of being a season ticket holder at a struggling, bottom tier, rugby league club. When they both lose, on Saturday and Sunday, it really ruins your weekend. -

All any striker wants is good service. Without that any striker will struggle. At the moment the service to the strikers at Rovers is mediocre at best. We don’t make enough clear cut chances. Our play is too obvious and too easy to play against. We spend most of the game playing in front of teams. -
