Thomas has been poor also. If you rolled Thomas and Hedges into one you might have a good winger ! -

I agree with you to a certain extent but the problem is the player holds all the cards. If he wants to leave, he’ll be gone irrespective of what the fans or the club want. That’s why all this talk of a “ project “ is bollocks. You never get the chance to keep players long enough to build a squad. The only alternative for teams in our situation is to build a team of players that aren’t particularly in demand and forge them into an effective match winning unit. That may involve a degree of “ ale house “ football. A bit like what Luton or Millwall have done. If Luton don’t go up this season how many of their players will be up for big money moves ? -

Yeah, losing Buckley, Gallagher and Morton recently has come at a real bad time. With having such a small squad it leaves us short of options, especially off the bench. Add to that the sick note that is Ayala, surely vying with Grella as our most injury prone signing ever. And we can’t say we weren’t warned about him, thanks Tony. -

I can’t remember now who it was but it was blatant, and pointless. -

He missed the Leicester player kicking out at a Rovers player near the end of that game also. -

That just shows how much money these clubs have got to throw around. That would have been a major gamble, the lad could have got a serious injury at any time. -

The club as a whole doesn’t often perform when really needed. The organisation is ramshackle. It stems from the top. -

I ran the ball most of the time with my dominant right foot but when it came to shooting, crossing, passing I used either without hesitation. I could take a corner with either foot off either wing and land the ball in the danger area. In swinger or out swinger. Lots of nights spent under the street lights. -

I know it’s ridiculous. All it takes is a lot of practice. You can work on two footedness on your own if need be. All you need is a ball and a wall. -

It hasn’t been what the club wants for years. If the player wants to leave they get their way sooner or later. -

I want blown up photos of the Burnley player holding up three fingers in every players place in the dressing room tomorrow night. If that doesn’t motivate them, nothing will. -

Some interesting names in the Brighton team. Napier and Beamish later to play for Rovers, Irvine ex Dingle hero, Bromley ex Bolton. I remember seeing Norman Gall fighting with Rochdale’s Bert Lister going over the low boundary wall at Spotland and the fight carrying on in the crowd. Both got sent off when red cards were extremely rare. -

They had the “ passing it out from the back “ off really well. Good movement and quick, crisp passing. Having said that the only time it really came unstuck WBA scored from it. This was against a rough and tumble WBA that tried to bully the kids that Sunderland had out. Youngest starting 11 in the league yesterday. Credit were credit is due. If we played either of those two tomorrow. Sunderland would out football us and WBA would bully us out of it. -

There’ll be trouble you can put your house on that this time. The late KO has made sure of that. I hope Lancashire’s finest are there in numbers along with the horses and dogs.
