  1. I’d be less concerned if we had a board who knew what they were doing. We lost a succession of really good managers in the 1979’s but each time we managed to get another good one in. I think with JDT it was more luck than judgement.
  2. That kid Brierley is playing well in a bad team at Rochdale. I hope we’ve got him nailed down at least.
  3. That’s completely unacceptable. Remind me never to go to a Rovers game again on a coach.
  4. I’ve no axe to grind in this case, I’m not an England RU fan. However what was boiling up to be a really good game was ruined by that incident.
  5. Them - It’s All Over Now Baby Blue
  6. I’m just reading the comments of the South African referee who sent an England player off in the Ireland v England RU game on Saturday. Effectively the outcome of the game was decided by his interpretation of what appeared to me to be an accidental challenge. ” Before producing the red card Peyper ( the ref ) explained to Steward ( the lad who got the card ) and the England captain, Owen Farrell, that he had no other option but to make it a red “ in the current climate “. After the match it is understood Peyper expressed his fear he would not be appointed to referee another high profile game in future had he not sent Steward off “. I’m thinking he’s not fit to referee another high profile game if that’s his abiding concern.
  7. Good review of the game in todays “ Guardian “. ” A hymn of limbs and lungs, a game of pure vibes and pure desire. This was an FA Cup quarter final epic to stand the test of time “. The commentator is very complimentary about Rovers but - “ Tyler Morton - perhaps the outstanding player in a Blackburn shirt “.
  8. I agree. If he does go that must be near the top of his list of reasons. That’s why we’ll never thrive under the Chicken Chokers.
  9. I don’t agree there matey. Refs have been giving penalties for ball to hand since I was a lad. Were you at the Dingles v Rovers FACup tie back in 1960 ? The ball bounced up off Alex Elder’s boot, hit him on the hand, penalty.
  10. And to think Shaun Edwards played 75 minutes of a Rugby League Cup Final with a badly damaged eye socket and a fractured cheek bone. Of course we are talking about real men here, although Edwards was about 21 at the time, and not boys.
  11. It doesn’t show the Derbyshire dropped bollock on that.
  12. It’ll certainly complicate their run in. We’ll see if we can take advantage of that.
  13. Quite right too. Even school boys don’t make mistakes like that. It cost us a win a well deserved win.
  14. Yeah, me too. I’m probably one of the sternest critics on here but todays performance plus one or two of the recent ones lead me to believe we may have turned a corner. We can actually manage to play for 80 minutes now. Under the previous management we rarely got more than 45 minutes.
  15. We were there last Friday for “ Reece’s pieces “. Nice venue. I’ll be in Spain in August unfortunately.
  16. It’s called “ football intelligence “. Gally hasn’t got any. He’s just a manufactured footballer, big lad and all that.
  17. I said pen right away and I was watching on TV. I couldn’t believe the shit McCoist came out with. In todays football it was a pen all day long.
  18. We’ve just got Kaminski back plus the two Whartons. Dack, Ayala to come back ant some point also. We might get lucky with Buckley before the end of the season. Thomas will be available again now.
  19. I’d like to know why in one game a handball is a pen and a yellow card and in another game a handball is a pen and a red card ? Maybe Arbitro can help us.
  20. Mm, it was really close if he was. I thought he was waiting for a pass that went slightly forward. I suppose VAR had the slide rule on it.
  21. How was the scorer of the second United goal not offside ?
  22. I didn’t know he was playing in the first half Gav.
