I got shouted down last week when I complained about our performance against the bottom of league at home. We just carried on from last week today only we were playing a team who could finish. I’m not impressed so far with our style of play, we aren’t Barcelona and the sooner the manager realises that the better. -

Not in my opinion, bigger clubs than Rovers will have spotted him. -

David Raya - Spanish international

One of the other Spanish keepers in the squad , Robert Sanchez, was on loan at Rochdale earlier. He reminded me a lot of Raya. He was capable of jaw dropping saves and also made the odd clanger. I had him marked down as one for the future when he was at the ‘Dale. -
David Raya - Spanish international

Maybe comparing the Raya that was here with Kaminski but it looks like Raya has improved significantly at Brentford. If they were both to be sold tomorrow Raya would be worth a good bit more in terms of transfer fees I suspect. -

Aussies versus New Zealand tonight - what a brilliant game. Best game of rugby league I’ve seen in a long while. -

Villa are reputedly looking to sign an “ A List Striker “ in January. Is BBD an “ A List Striker “ or a “ B List Striker “ ? -

Southampton are reportedly paying £4 million in compensation to Luton. No wonder they were happy to let him be interviewed. -
We’d have won that game but for Chris Samba having a brain fart and giving away a stupid pen and getting a red card as well ! If a striker is through on goal and you can’t get a clean tackle in just do your best to pressure them. They can always have the shot saved or shoot wide. Even if they score it’s still 11 v 11.

Edun went clear a ball with the outside of his favoured left foot instead of putting his right foot through it. Nothing to do with luck, just bad technique. -
I’m still buzzing from that result. Just a shame that two poor clearances led to their goals. Bucko’s fumble setting up their 1st scorer nicely and Edun trying to clear the cross with his favoured left foot when it was crying out for a right foot clearance. That also was as good as a pass. Two good goals from the Rovers though. Vale very cool to slot that one away. Where did Bererton get that power from, he was almost on top of the ball when he hit the shot. On the downside - Markanday’s miss was a bad one, that could have cost us on another night.

Anybody who can turn Bell into a half decent left wing back must have something. -

Looks like young Wharton won’t be playing on Sunday. He’s starting tonight at West Ham. -

Every team is suffering but we seemed to be suffering more than most. -

I just watched the highlights again. Two wingers getting around the sides of teams caused most of the goals. They should show that film to modern day coaches. -

Signed some real dross with the possible exception of Stephane Henchoz who was a class centr half. He had Zanetti, Djorkaeff, Ince and Aaron Winter in midfield when he was in Italy and they were still crap to watch. He did best at clubs were he had hardly any money to spend.
