  1. Who are the “ pie lashers “ and why are they lashing pies ?
  2. Yes we will lose and draw games in the future but if we have any hope of promotion tomorrow’s game shouldn’t be one of them.
  3. With all that it’s a wonder he can run never mind play football.
  4. We’ve already got one centre half who has to be wrapped up in cotton wool to keep him on the pitch. Do we really need another one ?
  5. I’ve got around to thinking “ Stay out there and never come home “.
  6. It feels to me like he stumbled across our latest style, it wasn’t planned and it’s still not how he’d like to play.
  7. This stat from today’s paper tells you all you need to know - “74, the total number of male test batters over the last 10 years with a batting average above 40. Only two played for England - Joe Root and Alistair Cook. “
  8. Anybody going tomorrow, wrap up well. That wind coming off the North Sea can be evil !
  9. In the season 1962-63 in the aftermath of the “ Big Freeze “ Rovers played on - March 23, 25, 29. April 2, 6, 12, 13, 15, 20, 23, 27. May 1, 4, 13, 20.
  10. We need to do all we can to keep the two lads from Brighton. If they were to go back and the 3 supposed want always, Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe leave, we’d be left with half a team.
  11. Anybody who saw us lose at home 3-1 to West Ham two days after beating them 8-2 at Upton Park will never be confident of a Rovers win.
  12. That French Cop on “ Allo, Allo “ was typing it for him.
  13. Newcastle need a nailed on goal scorer, not somebody who might or might not score goals at that level. They can’t afford to gamble, and they don’t need to with the dosh they’ve got.
  14. I think playing away at Hull will suit our current style of play. They’ll go for it being the home team. With a bit of luck we’ll do our normal thing and catch them on the break. It’s the sides that park the bus that I worry about.
  15. You mean that small proportion of fans that actually know what a snood is ?
  16. That’s the point. We all want to carry on with Rovers playing and fans being able to attend as normal but is the virus listening ?
  17. Strikers, even bad ones, are usually more valuable than full backs. Just how it is in football.
  18. I take your point and I wonder if Wharton would have come on as he has if he’d have been spending most of his season on the bench. Having said that if we are to continue with three centre halves, and I think we should, we need a couple of decent stand ins. Just having Ayala isn’t enough. One way or another centre halves are prone to injury or suspension.
