  1. I’ve got my doubts and nothing today has made me think again. He’s not getting the best out of what we’ve got so far.
  2. I agree about the bookings, all for childish acts. Not one for really putting somebody in their place.
  3. I thought we had a “ practice defending “ game in the second half last week. It was like we were rehearsing for todays game. We got away with it last weekend because Huddersfield were blunt up front. Today we weren’t so lucky.
  4. Less bite than Lowe ? Jeez, is that possible.
  5. There used to be a shop selling similar beverages in Rochdale when I was kid. Long gone now though.
  6. Exactly, we’ll never thrive while they hold the whip hand. How can you have owners who don’t turn up for the second biggest game of the season ?
  7. They probably don’t even know we’ve lost . More interested in the cricket no doubt.
  8. It’s the likes of my grandson I feel sorry for. He’ll be 16 after Xmas. Born on the day we drew with Man City at Ewood. All he’s ever known is the shite the chicken chokers have served up.
  9. Or played up to the likes of vertically challenged players like Dolan or Smozics or Markanday. So it comes straight back.
  10. Nearly everybody presses today. They certainly will if they saw this game.
  11. Just out of interest - who saw that team coming this morning ? How many of us had that 11 down as our starting line up ? Not me for one.
  12. The guy at Rochdale was doing it last season. They got relegated and he got fired. He’s a youth team coach at City now. Maybe it’ll work there. All I know is it’s a lot easier as a forward to dispossess a defender than it is for a defender to play his way out of trouble. You only have to get a foot in, he has to have perfect control of the ball. If they were that good on the ball they wouldn’t be playing centre half.
  13. 10/10. Do you think this manager will ever play that way because I don’t ? It doesn’t have to be direct all the time but mix it up a bit just to get our opponents guessing.
  14. I hope so for their sake, whatever it is, it wasn’t on display today.
  15. Last weeks goal was exactly that. A good long ball from Pickering that sent BBD through on goal.
  16. Not picking on the lad because he wasn’t on his own but last week against Hudds Morton was abysmal also. I said at the time “ If he’s the future for Liverpool God help them “. Then I see today some top German team want to sign him. I wonder if he was being watched today ? For his sake I hope not.
  17. Our half time xG was 0 apparently, you may be sanguine with that but I’m not.
  18. We never do play Brererton up the middle. It’s not his best position but sometimes you have give it a go in emergencies.
  19. Maybe they just don’t believe in the managers way of playing ? I’ve worked for gaffers who told me how they wanted a job doing that was complete bollocks. So you do it their way without much enthusiasm and it usually end up a cock up. Been there, done it.
  20. Joke of a club. I’d take em’ to Blackpool and have them running up and down the Tower. On the outside ! So what happened to JDT’s master plan of getting them used to “ his methods “ during the World Cup ?
  21. When JDT has won as much as Fergie won he can please himself what he does but for now he needs to hold his hand and at least be honest about what he got wrong.
  22. He needs to realise he’s skating on thin ice, more so after today. At any other club there would have been a meeting asap - this afternoon back at Ewood or tomorrow morning at the latest - with the board, manager & coaches , captain , and a couple of senior players. It would be made plain that performances like that aren’t acceptable at Blackburn Rovers and if there are repeats in the future there will be consequences. Of course at the current Rovers none of that will happen and it will be all pals together, ear flicks, and piss taking at training tomorrow. If they don’t get a day off that is.
  23. I suppose you can say that when you live in Manchester. Try living in Great Harwood or any of the areas between the two towns.
