  1. Was it ever on, or was it just paper talk ?
  2. Hand on heart did you really think Dyche was taking the club down ? In my opinion the fat lady was warming up but she wasn’t ready to start singing yet. Relegation wasn’t cut and dried by any means although it wasn’t looking good. If he was taking the club down shouldn’t the owners have done something to try and prevent that ? Have they already given up and are looking to next season with a younger more “ entertainment “ orientated manager and having a real go at getting straight back up playing high scoring football ? All in all I would imagine it’s up there with selling Jimmy Mac as far as Burnley fans are concerned.
  3. That’s as a big a gamble as I can recall any club making so late in the day. Mee is highly thought of as a leader. If it works out it’s a master stroke. If it fails …..
  4. He’ll be playing football wherever he goes. Some players would rather not be playing football, Ayala for one !
  5. Even Big Sam would struggle so late in the season.
  6. If you move really quickly you could get Mowbray. He’s out of contract soon.
  7. Mm, that is a real gamble.
  8. It’s just a job at the end of the day. That’s how most pro’s look at it.
  9. I’m off watching the Rugby League. Rochdale v Oldham. There’ll be effort on show there in the first 5 minutes than the whole of the Rovers game.
  10. Coleman was a disaster at Rochdale. The fans there hated him. Some time you get a club and a manager that are a good fit - Coleman and Accy, Luton and Jones ?
  11. I’m not his biggest fan so I won’t be bent out of shape if he ends up at the Dingle dome. He’s still making the same mistakes he was a couple of seasons ago.
  12. “ Back injuries “ and “ re-occurring “ usually go together.
  13. Inevitable. Like Rovers the ECB were just rewarding failure.
  14. Good Friday and Xmas Day were treble time when I was working.
  15. “ Leveraged buyouts “ shouldn’t be allowed in football.
  16. We won’t be in contention. Once you accept that life becomes more bearable. We had our chance and blew it in spectacular fashion.
  17. Once you step over that white line you’re playing for the team but you’re also playing for yourself and everything that entails. Will to win, self respect, pride in your own performance, just sheer bloody mindedness, they should take over. It doesn’t matter what the rest of the team are doing, that’s down to them. Never mind that the manager is a prick, you should be out there to win and you should be busting a gut to get that win.
  18. It takes us all our time to put 45 minutes in. I think the problem is that it’s been so long since we had a battling Rovers team most people have forgotten what that looks like.
  19. When did you last see a Rovers game were you thought we’d given 110% and “ we’d left it all on the pitch “ ? It’s not what we do any more. We don’t out enthuse teams even if we win.
  20. We’ve no self motivators in the dressing room because Mowbray hasn’t signed any.
  21. Me neither, but as far as I can see they’ve gone from being completely financially viable in the case of relegation to being in a position of being financially questionable if they go down. As with Rovers fans none of if it is of the ordinary fans making. They’re just a pawn in the game.
  22. Me too, that way you minimise the inevitable disappointment.
