Lenny and Pickering as full backs ? Not for me. If we’re playing 4 at the back one of Wharton, Van Hecke and Lenihan will have to sit on the bench. Next to Ayala no doubt. -
Premier League season 21/22

I don’t think he invented it but he’s certainly popularised it. -
I remember the last time Everton were in this predicament and in the last game of the season the opposite goalie phoned one in. And phoned one is being kind. Later on he just happened to pay £19,000 in his bank account, just a coincidence obviously.

Which half of ours are on the beach ?

Championship 21/22

Who needs “ hateful Burnley fans “ when we have the Chicken Chokers. -
“ Wisden “ telling it like it is I believe.

He’s signed some really poor left backs in his time here. Only that Cunningham looked half decent and he got crocked.

Regarding the money we would have got for Rothwell - I’m not sure I’d want Mowbray to be spending it if the five we signed in January are anything to go by. He gets more wrong than he gets right in my opinion. I suspect he wanted the lad who went from Peterborough to Bournemouth. I’m not up to speed with his performances there but I don’t see his name on the score sheet very often. Obviously the plan backfired in one way because Rothwell has done next to nothing since the move broke down.

PLAYER WATCH v Stoke City (H)

Thanks Tony, I’ve been really busy today. More than can be said for Rovers. -
Is that the Martin Hodge who used to play in goal ? If it is he had a spell at Rochdale, he was very popular there.

I don’t think you can read too much into his demeanour. He never seems happy even when we win well. -
He might. Not much further to travel.

Given how few games left you’ve got you’d probably do as well to stay with the guys that did the job on Sunday as bring in a panic appointment new guy. There’s not really time for a new man to get going and there’s the chance he might make changes that upset the apple cart. When the dust settles in the summer you’ve got time for a good look round. One of Forest and Hudds at least are not going up. If they get pipped by Luton maybe both of them won’t go up. Some decent managers there that won’t get promoted. Just my honest thoughts.

Who would you rather have playing out wide left, Scott Sellars or Sam Gallagher ? That old left footer playing on the left and a right footer playing on the right seemed to work ok back then. -
Bravery on the pitch comes in different forms. I never saw Berkovic win many tackles but he’d always show for the ball no matter who or how many were marking him, how close they were, and where he was on the pitch. He never hid when the pressure was on. There are players in our team that equate bravery with kicking the ball away or arguing with the ref. They are cowards and we all know who they are.

I was nearly right then !

There’s an interesting article about Dyche and Burnley in todays “ Guardian “. What caught my eye was that fact that although they “ put it about a bit “ as we used to say, they’ve only had two red cards in five years. We’ve had 5 this season already apparently. You don’t win many games playing with 10 men, we certainly don’t.

There are no Brits capable of doing the job so that’s the only option.

Premier League season 21/22
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It doesn’t matter how many trophies City win they will always strengthen the team in the close season. Selling Rovers to the Chicken Chokers was our biggest mistake but choosing not to strengthen the team that won the Prem was our second biggest mistake. -
Four wasted years.

He’s signed players in his image, name me a Dickov or a Speedie or an Andy Todd that he’s signed. They’d run a mile if they came up against those three.

Good luck matey. Exactly how I felt when they appointed Coyle. Depending on what happens with Mowbray I may be following you. -
The players have got to take some of the blame Chaddy. I’ve worked for some complete bell ends in my working career but I never thought once of giving less than my best. Even if I wanted too I couldn’t. I had pride in what I was doing and the machines I was building. It should be in your DNA irrespective of the management.
