  1. You mean it’s nonsense. We provide seats so everybody can stand up ? Where’s the logic there.
  2. If therefore everybody in that section is going to stand up why bother with the seating !
  3. Pointless exercise. What do you do if the guy in front of you wants to stand up and you don’t ? Apart from planting him that is.
  4. The Blackburn End when we played City in the cup years ago definitely wasn’t safe. My first wife refused to go again after that match.
  5. I’m back to looking forward to the international breaks again so the buggers can’t spoil another weekend. What sort of progress is that ?
  6. I’m part way through the Michael Hodkinson book also. I agree with you, it is brilliant. An exceptional book. I’ve got quite a library of Rovers books. I’ve got all the Harry Berry books plus the Peter White book you mentioned. Several by Mike Jackman One you don’t see much is Fred O’Donague’s account of his time scouting in the North West including his time at Rovers, “ Scouting For Glory “. I’ve got a couple by Dean Hayes - “ East Lancashire Derbies” and “ Blackburn Rovers an A to Z “. One called “ Get A Grip “ by a fan called Tim Barlow. Basically about his time following Rovers. ” Football history told through newspaper headlines - Blackburn Rovers “, interesting but over priced. Two good ones - “ Blackburn Rovers - an illustrated history “ and “ Blackburn Rovers - the official encyclopaedia “ Plus a few players autobiographies - LeSaux, Big Sam, Jansen etc. Years ago I also had a 45 rpm EP ( remember them ? ) of the commentary from the Rovers v Wolves FA Cup Final. The least said about that the better ! Edit - I’ve just spotted another book called “ They Think It’s All Rovers “.
  7. I see Steve Agnew was playing for Barnsley allegedly.
  8. When you run the ball out of defence now and look around for a forward to pass to you find they’re all stood next to you.
  9. How many of those appointments were the fans happy with at the time ? How many were on the radar before they were sprung on us. I’ll hold my hand up for Lambert ( partially because he was also bringing in good assistants ) , but I didn’t want any of the others.
  10. When you look at the forward play in that game and compare it with the current team’s forward play it’s like they’re playing another game with different rules. That third goal was a great move with some superb first time passing.
  11. I wouldn’t say loads of clangers, a few maybe. As bad as Kaminski’s at Fulham ? My mum could have held on to that one.
  12. He’ll play for Spain one day. Not good enough for championship Rovers though.
  13. The trouble is Mowbray would have had to sign about 15 players before he managed to get the “two or three players of the right ilk”.
  14. It was all a bit sad really, nothing lasts for ever in football so that record had to end someday. I suppose you’ve got to be around for a while to realise that though.
  15. I’d give him 5. He should have been gone long ago. We’ve been treading water for 3 seasons.
  16. Looks like he’ll be signing that new contract now then !
  17. Doesn’t it. I remember playing against a team who’s home ground was “ The Gravelhole “ . And it was.
  18. Obviously I’ve not got a dog in the fight but I get the impression that a change of footballing style would be welcomed by lots of Burnley fans.
  19. I suppose they had an excuse with the Covid regulations but that doesn’t wash anymore. If by some miracle we got to Wembley you could bet your house that they’d rock up for the limelight.
  20. You’d still want to keep Dyche then ? Do you not think it’s time for a change ? Nothing is forever in sport, or life for that matter.
  21. I always thought Oates was under rated. We could do with him in todays midfield.
