Sutton or Newell. Who was better?
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to Nuttall is lost's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I once saw Sutton take a massive goal kick from Flowers onto his chest and then drop the ball right onto his foot all in one movement. Only class players can do things like that. -
Stuart Ripley.

If Bournemouth are still watching him they must be thinking “ we dodged a bullet there “. -
Taken all in all he’s been a pretty bad signing.

Premier League season 21/22
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Me too, after playing schoolboy football on a Saturday morning a gang of us would chose a game and jump on a bus or a train. It could be Rovers, Burnley, Utd, City, Bolton, Bury etc Some times Oldham or even Rochdale. Rovers were great to watch in that period, we scored goals for fun ( 1962 to 1964 ) so I managed to get the gang to Rovers quite often. Of course this was in the days of walking up to any ground, putting your money down, and walking in. Standing wherever you felt like standing. None of the bullshit we get today. -

I’ve played 4 games in a weekend a few times as a kid. Most weekends it was three games. School or Town morning Youth Club afternoon. Sunday team afternoon. -

Yeah Bellamy for me. When he was fit he was a one man forward line. -

We’ve got three centre halves at Rovers better than Branthwaite. -

I’m just hoping Merc has his shirt on Derby, we’ve got half a chance then. -

What are we fighting for ? Not much as far as I can see. Happy days and all lads together down at Ewood. Just reminds me of a line from a Country Joe and the Fish song about Vietnam. “ What are we fighting for ? Who cares, I don’t give a damn “ . The amount of real fighting spirit that the likes of Moran and Speedie showed back when we first struggled up out of this division is sadly lacking and has been for 10 years. We out football teams from time to time but how often do we actually out fight teams that are better than we are ? I’d say never. -

I’m tired of saying it but the Chicken Chokers are like a cancer in the body of Blackburn Rovers. Until that cancer is removed the body will never thrive and ultimately it will probably prove terminal. -
PLAYER WATCH v Bristol City (H)

I’m brave enough but it’s not easy ! Just look at those scores in front of the back three. They’re horrendous. Thanks for sticking at it Tony. -
Mowbray, the summer and beyond

It looks like half of our current team will be leaving this summer. If that happens who they are replaced by will be the difference between staying up and going down. -
Championship 21/22

Once the wheels started falling off in January I expected us to fall out of the play offs and nothing since then has caused me to change my mind. This drop off happens every Spring, why are we surprised ? -
At our best this season we’d give them at game at Ewood. Away we’d bottle it. They way we are playing at the moment we’d be better off not turning up. If Mowbray is still here next season we’ll get beat home and away.

Derby will be up for this. Rovers might be. If they aren’t we’ll lose. It’s not time to put in our usual “ good run when it doesn’t matter ” yet. -

The last time Everton were in real danger of going down the opposition goalie had a day to forget - just saying.
