2nd half much more of an arm wrestle. It stayed 2-0. Ipswich looked like a team that had 19 new players this season. No cohesion or real shape. Marty Platt had a good game for Barrow. White and Grayson were a bit more peripheral.

They’re playing all the football in this game.

Walton’s picked two out already. Barrow look a nice footballing team.

Tonight’s Burnley v Watford game has been called because of Covid in the Watford camp. -
I can’t see Newcastle gambling on Brererton getting them out of the mire. With the funds they’ve got they’ll be going for a more high profile striker.

I’d have to see him play for a month or two before I’d be signing in. Bad backs are notoriously troublesome. -

No, just leave it as it is Tony as long as we’re winning. -

Do you think selling one of our better players at this point in the season will do anything to increase those crowds ? -

I agree with a lot of that but sometimes luck can play a part. The last time we got relegated 9 seasons out 10 we would have had enough points to stay up. It was just that particular season was very competitive down at the bottom. In that respect we could count ourselves unlucky I think. With the Prem normally at least one, if not two, of the newly promoted teams will go straight back down. One “established “ team will have a bad season - injuries, bad managerial appointment, etc, and they’ll go down. If you can avoid being that team normally you can stay up. -

The guy from the Guardian at yesterday’s match wasn’t too impressed with the Dingles - “ Sean Dyche’s bland team put the stale into stalemate “. “ Lukas Fabianski only had to field one, tame attempt on target “. “ Goal droughts are more common amongst the Burnley players, however. They were poor in possession, lacking fluency or creativity.” “ I would take the point and the clean sheet “ said the pragmatist in Dyche. They have a solitary win in 15 and the Championship is starting to loom large. “ “ He ( Dyche ) chose a midfield who lack a goal between them this season “. -

Teams that score near the end of the game are teams with a good mentality. They don’t panic and start lumping it into the box from all over the place. They keep playing their football and they keep looking for openings. They know that it only takes 5 seconds or so to create a scoring chance. -

Yes, some of us have longer memories than a gold fish. Great player but another one who crapped on the club. -

I’m afraid Nyambe has got a “ friend for life “ with that hamstring. How long has he been having trouble with it ? I agree we need to find a stand in right back because we’re bound to need one. -
That’s pretty underwhelming news.

Tell them to look in tomorrow’s paper. The score will tell them wether it was offside or not. -

How many times in the recent past have we seen teams come to Ewood and basically just want it more ? They ran further, worked harder, looked more organised and enthusiastic and had a better shape. We had the skill but not the application. It’s great to see the shoe on the other foot at long last. That’s what we had this afternoon and long may it continue. All I ever ask of a Rovers team is that they don’t leave anything out on the pitch. Just give 100%. That’s what these lads are doing.
