  1. If I was running the show he'd be packing his gear on Monday morning along with his pal and I'd be giving Johnno a go while the end of the season. Can he do any worse honestly ?
  2. That's democracy for you !
  3. At any other club he'd be down the road by now.
  4. It could be we're safe now. 3 points against Stoke would do it I think. We could stay up this season with less points than we got relegated with last time we were in this division.
  5. Chaddy wanted Rodwell signing on a long contract a month or two back so he must be staying.
  6. Rotherham got battered today so we're actually further from the drop zone on goal difference than we were at 3-00 today.
  7. Yeah I agree. If he stays we'll be relegated next season.
  8. What worries me is the stat that says we haven't come back from behind in a championship game since 2016. Even crap teams do better than that.
  9. Bloody hell, that's a whole new defence. How likely is that to happen ? It doesn't say much about our recent recruitment.
  10. I'd be thinking " What more do I have to do to replace this lot when they're playing like drains every week " . When you're young you're desperate to play and play at the highest level you can.
  11. I might have been jealous of his physique but I wasn't jealous of his lack of pace.
  12. If I was Mowbray we'd have two centre halves starting tomorrow that actually enjoyed heading the ball for a start.
  13. I'll bet the doll has a bigger IQ than his girlfriend.
  14. Talk is cheap Stuart, time for some action out on the pitch now. Tomorrow would be a good time to start. I got a text from my son today regarding the manager, he sees most of our games - " I'm still not Mowbray's biggest fan. We haven't majorly improved since he took over. If we didn't have Dack and Graham we'd be struggling. If he's still here next season I think we'll struggle. "
  15. It's about time it dawned on you that what Mowbray says and what actually happens out on the pitch are two entirely separate issues. That's why I no longer listen to anything he says.
  16. I've stopped listening to Mowbray. I want the team to do the talking from now on.
  17. I see no evidence of a plan unless it's to field a team of nine midfield trundlers, a goal keeper and a striker. City tried a similar thing before the " Total Football " concept way back in the 1960's and the manager got fired after they were getting banged every week.
  18. I don't get this nothing to play for talk. When you cross that white line you have pride in your ability, self respect, respect for your team mates and the shirt you're wearing, desire, determination all to play for, not to mention winning bonus. Winners don't ever have a nothing to play for attitude. Not even in friendly games.
  19. The fact that Bennett has been practically an ever present in the team this season in all sorts of positions tells you all you need to know really. He's not particularly good enough in any of them. The lad is handy to have on the bench but that's as far as it should go for me. The team owes us a committed performance irrespective of the result. I never went into a game were I couldn't see my team winning as a player. Let's see some backbone Rovers, Villa will be thinking the 3 points are in the bag, let's make them earn the points !
  20. I really look forward to International breaks. That way my Saturdays aren't ruined.
  21. I played against David Cross as a young player and I knew him quite well. His brothers played cricket for Heywood in the old CLL. He'd go along to watch them in the football close season and I was stood at the bar at Rochdale's ground one day when he came up next to me. I said " Can I get you a beer Dave ", He said " No just get me a tomato juice, I don't drink much ". When I persisted he said " No thanks, there'll be plenty of time for ale when I finish playing ". That was a lad who had a long career as a top level striker in the old First Division with Man City and West Ham among others but I can tell he you had about half the footballing ability Bradley Dack has. What Crossy had was " attitude " and you can't buy that.
  22. I think you'll find most sportsmen are Jim. Didn't the greatTed Dexter once stand for them as an MP ? The Alex Ferguson's don't come around very often.
  23. What about Big Ben ? Money in the bank there once he gets in the England senior squad.
