The trouble with getting rid of the " non contributors " is that other teams know they contribute very little.
-
I'd rather have Gallagher than Wickham, at least Gallagher will play. Wickham was a very talented young player but he's made of glass.
-
No, I couldn't get a bus from Granada to Blackburn.
-
I was reading a long article in the paper about him at the end of last season. He's had a few injuries since he left Rovers that have effected his mobility. Given the fact he wasn't the best mover in the first place I'd give him a sweve.
-
I'm with Roversfan 99 on the Gallagher issue. He's just a taller version of Armstrong. Do we really need two players who can only play effectively alongside Graham ?
-
Anywhere in the bottom six unless we strengthen significantly soon.
-
Home draws are, that's for sure.
-
It's not easy to be a " bruiser " when the physical side of the game is being refereed out of modern day football.
-
Only Armstrong is up to playing regularly at this level and you could argue he's still got prove that.

Transfer Window - Success or Failure

I don't get this " collecting " players . Where would you play him ? His best position is where Dack plays. And Palmer. And Gladwin And probably where one of the two young lads we've signed plays . -
Just the sort of team that we don't like playing against. 1-1 draw.

I think there's a reason why the likes of Agbonlahor haven't been snapped up. -

The problem with loans is if they come here and do well clubs further up the food chain will step in, along with their parent club retaining them. -

Totally underwhelmed. We've missed a massive chance to take the club forward on and off the field. Everything smacks of us not really knowing what we were doing. In the great game of football management snakes and ladders Mowbray just landed on a medium sized snake. He needs to throw a double six in the window. -
Let them have him then at that price. We can't afford to put all our eggs in one basket, especially in a non essential player.
-
Let's not fool ourselves, this is a right old mess. Do you know any dingle fans ? I do and I'm not looking forward to the next time I meet them.
-
Signing players permanently is always a gamble but getting involved in the loan market is even more so.
-
The whole club from top to bottom has been made to look foolish and unprofessional. Nothing new there.
-
What makes you think he'll turn up ? And then right on cue - Here's Johnny !
-
Armstrong's first natural movement is away from the ball into space. Graham's is towards the ball to get the ball to feet. That's the difference. Just banging it long won't work with Armstrong.
-
With apologies to Jagger- Richards !
-
Back up keeper isn't that important - until the minute you lose your first choice goalie for a month or two.
-
I don't know to be honest. Bulking up would slow him down. You don't have to be big to be aggressive. It's in your nature. Kevin Davies is the only one I can think of who " developed " into an aggressive striker. I wouldn't have him as a replacement for Graham unless I'd no other options.
-
I'm a bit puzzled as to why we seem to be buying several midfield players when we desperately need a target man style striker, neither of Gallagher or Armstrong fills that role for me. We also need another centre half and a reserve goalkeeper would be useful.
-
I see a lot of players being mentioned in links with us. What's concerning me is we seem to be looking at players that all fit into the same style. I don't see a coherent team formation emerging yet. Why get this Palmer lad in if we're looking at Freeman and we've already signed Rothwell and given Conway a new contact. I can't get away from the feeling we are signing plenty of bricklayers but no hod carriers. We're running around like lottery winners in Tesco's.
