  1. I'd do time myself for a hard bastard like Todd in this team, maybe it's because I played midfield myself but I absolutely love an enforcer in there. I know he was a defender but still.
  2. Morton consistently backs out of challenges or literally turns his back on them. Now I think Morton is a decent player, and its probably an age thing to be fair, but midfielders in this team should be fully committed to tackling. They aren't, and we keep getting twatted.
  3. Absolutely, I wanted to jump through the screen and throw a tackle in. Colin Hendry would probably cry watching us yesterday.
  4. For Rathbones goal, as good as it was to be fair, there must have been 3 maybe 4 players stood watching. When I played football I'd never, ever let a player shoot from that distance if I had the physical means to stop it.
  5. We're near the bottom of the table with regards to discipline, although that's largely due to the silly red cards, 54 yellows and 2 red.
  6. Bang on. I've not been entertained all season. If its getting results OK it's acceptable. If you're getting hammered off teams who have about 50p to spend it's unacceptable.
  7. It's not just losing games of football, we're not suffering narrow, unlucky defeats. We've now been obliterated this season by Burnley, Preston, Sheff Utd, Reading and now Rotherham, read that back again and tell me you're happy. I dare say we'll get hammered many more times yet and one will 100% be at Ewood against our closest rivals. It will be hell. I keep saying this, I can take losing games of football. Even if we'd lost today to a last minute Rotherham goal I'd have been disappointed, but not feeling utter rage towards the manager and the gutless team that I am now. I can't take much more and I'm amazed some people are still on board with this 'project'.
  8. You have to be trolling, no other explanation
  9. 79% possession second half and 1 shot. What the fuck are they being told to do, seriously? It's indefensible and can only pray JDT walks.
  10. Gregg's obviously a smart man and comes across very well in things like that. We as fans don't really see the work he's doing/has done behind closed doors. Despite him having what is it, 5 or 6 areas of responsibility, the fans will simply judge him on transfer activity, rightly or wrongly. In fairness to him, early indications are that he's sorting the glaring issue with contracts out. He joined too late to be able to sort the Brereton one out really so can't blame him on that. The last transfer window was a rush job with mixed success, so personally I'm happy to cut him some slack on that one. The current one is huge though and sets the tone for his credibility with the fans. You'll always have an element of the fan base who are unrealistic and expect daft amounts of money to be spent, they'll never be happy. There's literally no reason why someone in Gregg's position shouldn't be able to pull a few rabbits out of hats though with the resources available.
  11. Good following, I'd be going myself but got too much on tomorrow sadly, always a decent away day. I mean we should be winning this, and there's gonna be people out there thinking it'll be an easy game......Something you can't really ignore though is that as things stand we've lost more games than Rotherham. They'll certainly up for it based on that fact alone. Alas, 1 nil away win.
  12. Sharpe has said the Kilkenny talk is nonsense.....
  13. With both Dwight Gayle and Delap to pick from Stoke seemingly had some decent options up top but neither has set the world on fire. I think Gayle may have been injured but he's still made 19 appearances with 0 return.
  14. He was clearly signed as a 'utility man', Mowbray loved players who could (in theory) cover a number of positions. The problem with that type of players is they're unlikely to excel in one particular position and the fact they're not permanent fixtures in the team makes it difficult for them to settle in properly and improve. I think he'd be a decent player for a lower half championship team if he's getting picked week in week out.
  15. Blimey it's a good job JRC has shaped up then, Carter looked as good has he ever has yesterday too at RB, looked a lot more mobile than when I've seen him there before.
  16. Looking like Dexter Lembikisa may be available on a loan, probably not a priority position now JRC is looking decent, how long is Brittain out for?
  17. Markanday was noticeably more intense with the pressing too. It's clearly what JDT demands and explains why Dack wasn't always featuring when most of us were crying out for him. It won't suit every player and ultimately its very demanding, on days like today you can see what he's trying to do though. I've been critical of JDT, mainly because of 2 derby thumpings but sometimes his gameplan works out. I think that's something like 12 clean sheets in competitive games, more including friendlies, which makes it all the more baffling that we've been pasted a few times.
  18. Not really seen much of Ipswich this season so no idea on their style of play , but if used correctly he'll probably do a job. Sadly he'll go down as absolute turd for us.
  19. Vale's had a bit of time out now much like JRC, hopefully the same end result and a much improved player... We play in a specific (some would say boring) way. So much so that it's difficult for a striker to just trap up for the odd game and play well. IF Ben was to leave I reckon someone else would step up to the job in hand. When Armstrong left we panicked but ended up ok.
  20. Both can surely do better than Wigan! Corberan allegedly wants Lewis O'brien too at WBA. Really poor career moves for both Toffolo and O'brien going to Forest although obviously can't blame them for the cash.
  21. To be honest it's mainly GB I'm referring to. If he's not getting results, then why is he in place. He's obviously got a few weeks yet to come up trumps but ultimately most fans are expecting a good window and rightly so.
  22. Probably because people get their hopes up every single window and we never get business done till the last minute. The difference this time is we have a DOF and allegedly a recruitment/scouting network in place. So yes, people are expecting results and soon. Imagine wanting people to do their well paid jobs!
  23. Cannon is very highly rated, obviously their plan B as they missed out on Archer. Riis has done his knee as well so they'll be very short up top. Broughton has been here what about 8 months now? The targets should have been lined up for a while now and the business done early. There are literally no excuses for a poor window here. Well, I say that but there's still the weird chain of command behind the scenes (I assume) regarding the twats in Pune rubber stamping things but surely things SHOULD be a little more straightforward with a DOF?
  24. Unless Greg or JDT says we're interested and then you'd change your tune and say he's a great signing and you recommend him on 13th October 2022
