  1. At some point I imagine someone will be arsed to do some kind of comparison on ST prices elsewhere in the league. I reckon we'll be about average this season, can't see many clubs making tickets cheaper at all. You have clubs in this league slipping into embargoes and being unable to pay wages, fair play if the ones holding the purse strings can offer cheap season tickets. You'll have a tough time trying to find anything reducing in price in these tough times.....
  2. Not specifically Rovers but funnily enough I was reading earlier how Forest have altered a load of their prices and if you're 19 you now pay full price (they've bumped those prices up too).
  3. It's not mind blowing but people should be fairly happy with those prices. IF we could manage to nail promotion those tickets become a lot more enticing, partly because there's less midweek games too. Let's be honest Sky wouldn't be mad on seeing us play every week either. If the current feel good factor carries over I think we'll see a rise in season tickets anyway, but nothing major.
  4. That's Easter Monday sorted then, the kids will have got on my tits enough by then so they can have a day with their mum
  5. You can get the train for circa £40 if you don't mind split ticketing it, that's from Accy anyway so possibly cheaper depending where people live.....
  6. Not sure how many grounds you've been to this season but i can assure you there's grounds in a lot worse states than Ewood in the league!
  7. We'll definitely need a new stand by the end of the season now. Burnley are set to bring a quarter of a million fans to Ewood in the home areas and will trash it.
  8. We WiLl aLl Go In ThE hOmE eNd We WiLl TaKe OvEr ThEiR tOwN LeTs BoYcOtT iT Usual fucking bravado and clap trap from the absolute goons 🤣
  9. They weren't ALL double decker buses, some looked like decent coaches. I ended up on a bus myself and it was crap, the driver and 'steward' were right miserable/arrogant swines too. They obviously had to use companies that they don't typically use due to demand, as it was cheap though I let it slide. We struggled to organise private transport as Rovers had tapped up a lot of local companies, I'll not be going 'official' again if I can help it though
  10. Along with Sky TV these rail strikes are taking the pee now. We've done well to maintain decent away followings because they're constantly making it hard work.
  11. It wouldn't be a disaster at all to go up even for a season, ultimately all it boils down to is money and we could do with some. You can absolutely guarantee season ticket sales would shoot up regardless, there'd then be the challenge of keeping them all if we went down of course but as we saw on Sunday, there's a nicer vibe amongst supporters to say 12 months ago. If we fail with promotion this season I think we'll have come pretty close and the obvious move then is to offer a free season ticket in the PL to existing ST holders should we fare better next season. I think Burnley did similar a few seasons ago?
  12. Should be 4k Canaries there then, would be nice to hit the dizzy heights of a 20k crowd again 😏
  13. He's becoming a bit of a legend if you ask me, it's hard to believe the criticism he was getting on here not long ago, someone even wishing a broken leg upon him, unbelievable from a so called fan. Ever since his performance at Boro away I've rated the guy, but now he's found more attacking confidence it's brilliant to see.
  14. We were on a double decker bus, not really what we paid for although it was cheap! We ended up getting off said bus before it left Sheffield on the way home, went out round Sheffield and got a train home, much more enjoyable.
  15. Very proud of the boys, I came off the game nowhere near as dejected as I did when I was there for the league game. All we can ask for is them to try their best. Ultimately they were beyond lucky and the ref was abysmal, but that's football. As an aside I'll be glad to be back to us loyal away fans who go most weeks, some right twats amongst us yesterday who clearly don't usually go.
  16. Will have to watch this evenings game on mute, its gonna be a right Kompany wankathon ain't it 🤣
  17. 100% Just like it would have been unfair if the EFL let us sign O'brien and he'd scored 5 goals including a winner in a play off final. I find it hard to believe they'd go into administration next week though, further down the line they need to be very, very worried unless they seal promotion of course. It's probably an additional incentive for them tomorrow if they're THAT skint though, they'd pocket a decent wedge for making the semi's.
  18. On Adam Wharton, he clearly had a disagreement with JDT a while back. I'm getting the impression he's had his bollocking and is being eased back into the fold now though. Still can't get my head round him going to watch City when we were playing but no point dwelling on it, he's a young lad who will do stupid shit and learn life lessons. He looked much happier last night and the lads went straight to him to celebrate the 2nd goal which was good to see, he looked buzzing like all other Rovers fans. JDT is no soft touch, that side of him is clear. Cheeky chappy and smiles on camera, ruthless behind the scenes, whilst still being well liked (I think?) amongst the players. I don't like keep referring back to our previous manager but he clearly had favourites, certain players were going on that team sheet even if they'd dropped multiple howlers the previous game. Is that beneficial particularly in a play off push? Or is it better to keep players on their toes, which seems to be the JDT approach. I bet Dolan, after dropping to the bench last night, will work his bollocks off that bit extra in training now leading up to the next game. It's a great approach to management and again something I will give JDT huge credit for. A different (better) mindset in this squad now this season, sulking will not be tolerated.
  19. Exactly this. A midfielder should never be backing out of challenges and I'm afraid he does. He's also guilty of losing the ball and not busting a gut to win it back which really annoys me, other players within the team do! Follow their lead. He still deserves credit for last night though, albeit against a very weak opposition.
  20. They definitely try and apply too much science these days. There's allsorts of other variables on top of all this guff. Genetics rather than age play a massive part in someone's ability to perform. It's quite easy to get qualified in sports science, much like ite even easier to class yourself as a qualified personal trainer. Anyone who's decent at either knows how much plans are tailored to individuals though rather than what they read in a textbook. There's allsorts of supplements out there too, some which will be close to the banned category, which can massively benefit players.
  21. Any word on how sales are in the home ends? I get the impression they aren't quite as up for it as we are, partly because their league form has faltered a bit........
