Re dropping Pears....a change of goalkeeper is easily the biggest change a manager can make to his starting 11 and not one they'll take lightly. We saw this once Kaminski was fit last season, I have no doubts JDT thinks he's a better keeper than Pears but he probably thought it would do more harm than good switching keepers at that stage of the season. I have a suspicion that Wahlstedt will be asked to show his worth in the cup game before he's given a starting slot in the league. He was untested for the most part Vs Harrogate. Personally I'd play him tomorrow, but I'm not sure he will...... -
It's a bloody poor do when even Chaddy is critical of the club 🥲 I'm looking forward to JDT's take on this. Imagine having a manager who takes the cups seriously, gets the players up for it, which in itself would add more bums on seats.....All for Waggott to ensure an even more empty looking ground than usual with literally no atmosphere whatsoever. The magic of the cup eh Jon?

No dreaming on your part, 4 goals in the last 4 games against them, including a cracking brace at the Riverside last season. Buckleys ball throwing probably didn't help in his efforts to add to that tally at home.... -
Absolutely. Even by Waggotts standards, its up there with his most idiotic moves.
-
Didn't think there was anything particularly groundbreaking or surprising in that really. Quite interesting that his version of events differed to JDT's on Buckley, but it would be a little foolish to bare faced lie in public about it. Also how he said we thought off championship competition for Hill and Moran, wonder who those teams were? Its promising that the JDT factor was a big pull, also worrying for if/when he does leave though.......

Updates from the official club pages are dire they really are, winning 2-1 with 10 mins or so to play, Reading are down to 10 men

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)

I find it alarming that on the image above its got 51 'likes' on that joke of a statement, I assume it's probably a lot more now. We have a lot of fans that have been utterly brainwashed by this fucked up regime. -

Not retreating to panic mode after that like some. The scoreline isn't really a fair reflection on the game and these days happen. One things for certain though, it's given the manager a good reason to change the goalkeeper next time out.... -

Impossible to rate given how unknown the players are to us all. I do understand people having a negative view on it, but there's also the chance we've unearthed a few gems. Hopefully GB gives an extended interview/inquest on the obstacles faced, not sure how much detail he'll be allowed to give on the whole India financial/tax/hearing or whatever the hell it is. Bet he's relieved its over though! -

Always nice to sign off before the international break with a win, I think we'll do that today too. As an aside I usually hate these breaks, but on this occasion it might actually be quite useful to get more players fit and also give new arrivals a chance to gel with new team mates. From what I've seen of Plymouth they look quite sluggish at the back, if we move the ball around quickly and Adam weaves his through ball wand I think Sammy will latch onto a few, maybe Gally too assuming he plays. I'm going for a confident 3-1 away win, both the aforementioned on the scoresheet. Sadly can't make it today so spare a thought for me having to go to a family fun day at the missus' work, in Burnley! Sure I'll make my presence known and should just make it home for kick off 😇 -
Quietly excited about this one. There's been some doubts over the standard of league he's come from, Germany has 90 teams in the Regionalliga. It's bloody tough to make the big time and all the talent usually gets hoovered up by Bayern etc. The fact he got a deal at a solid Bundesliga team suggests he's definitely got talent. He's rapid, he's big, 2 big plus points in the championship.

We all slate the club, more so the owners at times. But that was a lovely touch with the flowers for Matts family, even more so JDT mentioning it in his PMI. I didn't know him personally but this win was for Matt. -

In fairness i think A Wharton is still getting fully up to speed after having no pre season, he'll play much better this season. Meanwhile Burnley are getting dry bummed here, this belongs on an adult channel 🤣 -

Yeah not sure why Gilsenan isn't there, suspect he's playing Wednesday though which might have had an impact?
