  1. It absolutely might yes i agree. We've got a marketing department who are paid to find things like this out though. I'm exactly the type of ex season ticket holder they should be targeting but they simply can't be arsed. It's very narrow minded (and also wrong) to pass it off as 'fact' that the price is the sole reason people don't get a season ticket just cos matty effing blue says so though. I was paying 4.75 a pint whilst out yesterday enjoying the sun, did I think it was expensive? Yes, did I still pay it? Also yes.
  2. Well yes, it is your opinion. Am I getting a season ticket this season? No. Is it because of the price? No. Of course the price may put some people off but I personally know numerous other ex season ticket holders who aren't basing a decision purely on price.
  3. Well maybe it's not as simple as that, just because it's your opinion it doesn't mean it's everyone else's..... Of course we have a database, it wouldn't be that hard to you know, ask people why they've no interest.
  4. How about just scrap season tickets completely. If you're an interested fan you're issued with a membership card, said card is linked to your bank account. You scan it upon entry and the cash is automatically taken. You also use this card to buy refreshments etc. You don't have an allocated seat, you just turn up and sit with your mates where there's space, pretty much like most away games. All games are charged at 20 quid regardless.
  5. Someone very high up at the club, far too high most would say.... I think you can probably guess who from that.
  6. Massively concerned about the keeper situation personally. I think Kaminski is definitely our best keeper, my worry now is that Pears becomes first choice, Kaminski leaves, then complacency kicks in for Pears. Don't get me wrong he's done slightly better than expected, but he still had to fight for his place then. Maybe I'm being a little harsh I guess. I have heard Kaminski has thrown the toys right out of the pram though which tarnishes his reputation a bit (although I kinda get why he feels that way).
  7. In fairness the season has finished and there's not a great deal for the media team to be doing, yet. Apart from perhaps making a video with Birdy telling everyone to buy a season ticket.....see now a Brereton Diaz video probably doesn't sound so bad does it? He was obviously well liked at the club amongst the players and staff so it's no surprise to see this video either.....
  8. Thats quite remarkable having a 24 year old in a 'head of' role - I bet his salary doesn't reflect that type of role though. There was a Marketing Assistant role advertised recently which I looked at to be nosey about the salary but it wasn't mentioned, it'll be another on the cheap though. The below are listed as some of the responsibilities (for this junior role): To conduct competitive research and analyse benchmarking data against best practice (LOL) To utilise marketing analytic techniques to gather important data for strategic decision-making (also LOL) Identify database growth opportunities to increase our reach (this is getting silly now) Analyse the supporter database to identify opportunities for better communications and engagement with supporters (I think you get the picture by now) So there you have it........
  9. Would be nice to go on a bit of a tour round somewhere decent in Europe, Holland, Germany, not too fussy!
  10. The financial services industry is absolutely booming, BNPL, Klarna and the like. A "take 3" offer. 3 payments of 100 pounds due by the end of August to pay for a 300 pound season ticket. Does anyone genuinely think that wouldn't work? What is the response to your comments? Is he just coming back with "we'll look into it" ?
  11. The timings of the price increases show just how out of touch not only swag but the whole of the club are. I guess ultimately its down to him but surely there's people that work there that can point the basics out?!?! Many families out there will have an eye on their summer holiday and its around now that many of them are paying the outstanding balance which is approaching the deadline to pay it. Money is tight, folk have priorities! For little reasons like this, you will always get some late purchases when people return from holidays, but why the hell are they being penalised for doing so? So which one is it? Are they too oblivious to modern family life OR do they simply not give a fuck?
  12. I've been undecided on JDT at times, absolutely disgusted at a few points too. I'm now at the point where I'd be pissed off if he left though. I think if the season was another 20 games long we'd probably go up, genuinely a shame that the season has now ended. Ironically despite the results of late we've played some of our best football recently, much better than when we were picking up more wins. Ultimately too goal shy, yesterday aside, but its not like we weren't creating anything. Players have finally adapted to the JDT style, its probably taken a bit longer than he'd liked/expected but he's stuck to it. It would be disastrous to have to start again now with a new manager/style. Hopefully we can keep hold of our key players and get the right additions in. Definitely need 2 strikers, 1 I expect will be permanent and 1 loan. The Markanday loan has been a massive let down, was hoping he'd bang a few in and come back ready to make an impact. Sure I read he's got a better goal:minute ratio than any other Rovers player this season mind. Something doesn't sit right with Vale either, not seen any updates at all on his progress recovering from injury, seems to be more to it. Leonard needs to at least be playing in the cup games next season to show us what he's about.
  13. They're utterly brain dead and yeah adds weight to the no-one likes us chant, is it any wonder? Collective sigh of relief no doubt from the MET police that them twats aren't gonna be going to West Ham etc next season. As if they get so wound up by fans singing a west ham song, I wouldn't give 2 hoots if our opponents sang a Burnley song.
  14. Noticed this comment on one of the pages on socials, it's this simple. Print it off and put it in the dressing room.
  15. Not expecting anything today sadly, our luck is horrendous and we'd need far too much to go our way. I am however looking forward to next season IF the manager gets the backing he deserves. I guess it's ended up similar to last season ultimately, but it doesn't feel quite as disappointing given its the first season in England for our manager, and he was badly let down in Jan. Most importantly the players must learn from this. There's always mention of inexperience, well here we are, they've experienced what can go wrong, some of them numerous times now, learn from it and adapt. I think (hope) JDT has now realised Adam should be the first name on the team sheet, surely he has?
  16. The road going down to Formby Point red squirrel reserve. Gerrard lived on their too, possibly still does and a few others. Lovely area to be fair.
  17. There's no drama at my side, you've made a stupid comment and you're flapping about trying to excuse it.
  18. He's one of our most improved players and has barely put a foot wrong given his age, it's a very very odd opinion to have.
  19. Some of them are debatable, but Carter? Go for a lie down or something, can only assume you've not watched many games this season?
  20. It's alright going on about form etc but the truth is we should have more point on the board and have had shocking luck. Should have been 3 points vs Cov but for a handball equaliser Should have had a penalty vs Dingles Should have held our nerve vs PNE Could easily have been 1 or 2 up today and Szmodics could have brought the roof off Ewood but for the bar. It's not like we're playing horrendous. Sadly Preston will definitely not do us any favours at all so it's over now for me.
  21. Needs an Adam Armstrong style shoot on sight strategy tonight. Some will end up in row Z but surely we can at least manage a few on target.
  22. Off the top of my head, I think for away sales this season, a season ticket has only really been beneficial for Burnley away (and even then it was a ball ache without 1875 membership), it made Sheff Utd in the cup easier but didn't we still make open sale then too? Back in the day it was pretty much a must have if you wanted to go a number of games, christ we had to fill application forms out for Blackpool away didn't we?
  23. I don't think it's easier to get to at all? They did it there because Greg openly admitted he wanted to take Lewis for some 'nice food' in case he was hungry, almost like a weird first date when he was recalling it 🤨
  24. Yep you're right, I can't believe Keane has lasted this long to be honest! Only a matter of time before he tells a woman pundit to feck off and do the dishes and he'll be gone 🤣
  25. No strictly PL but Souness leaving Sky now too, may as well pull the plug. Him and Jeff going is a major blow. Great no nonsense pundit, and to this day my favourite Rovers manager, yes that includes Dalglish....
