Very proud of the boys, I came off the game nowhere near as dejected as I did when I was there for the league game. All we can ask for is them to try their best. Ultimately they were beyond lucky and the ref was abysmal, but that's football. As an aside I'll be glad to be back to us loyal away fans who go most weeks, some right twats amongst us yesterday who clearly don't usually go.

Will have to watch this evenings game on mute, its gonna be a right Kompany wankathon ain't it 🤣

100% Just like it would have been unfair if the EFL let us sign O'brien and he'd scored 5 goals including a winner in a play off final. I find it hard to believe they'd go into administration next week though, further down the line they need to be very, very worried unless they seal promotion of course. It's probably an additional incentive for them tomorrow if they're THAT skint though, they'd pocket a decent wedge for making the semi's.

On Adam Wharton, he clearly had a disagreement with JDT a while back. I'm getting the impression he's had his bollocking and is being eased back into the fold now though. Still can't get my head round him going to watch City when we were playing but no point dwelling on it, he's a young lad who will do stupid shit and learn life lessons. He looked much happier last night and the lads went straight to him to celebrate the 2nd goal which was good to see, he looked buzzing like all other Rovers fans. JDT is no soft touch, that side of him is clear. Cheeky chappy and smiles on camera, ruthless behind the scenes, whilst still being well liked (I think?) amongst the players. I don't like keep referring back to our previous manager but he clearly had favourites, certain players were going on that team sheet even if they'd dropped multiple howlers the previous game. Is that beneficial particularly in a play off push? Or is it better to keep players on their toes, which seems to be the JDT approach. I bet Dolan, after dropping to the bench last night, will work his bollocks off that bit extra in training now leading up to the next game. It's a great approach to management and again something I will give JDT huge credit for. A different (better) mindset in this squad now this season, sulking will not be tolerated. -

Exactly this. A midfielder should never be backing out of challenges and I'm afraid he does. He's also guilty of losing the ball and not busting a gut to win it back which really annoys me, other players within the team do! Follow their lead. He still deserves credit for last night though, albeit against a very weak opposition. -
They definitely try and apply too much science these days. There's allsorts of other variables on top of all this guff. Genetics rather than age play a massive part in someone's ability to perform. It's quite easy to get qualified in sports science, much like ite even easier to class yourself as a qualified personal trainer. Anyone who's decent at either knows how much plans are tailored to individuals though rather than what they read in a textbook. There's allsorts of supplements out there too, some which will be close to the banned category, which can massively benefit players.

There's got to be more to it surely? The excuse sounds as ridiculous as our bumbling around on deadline day, and we all now how that missed deadline ended up..

I'm not Chaddy no, to be honest it's ambitious for us to dream of the play offs, so I'm not sure why Sunderland fans are so adamant they should be in them either.

The chump was saying they had absolutely no ambitions of the play offs on Friday, and got absolutely slated by the fan base

It's such an awkward watch that interview, I'm no genius but christ I'm a few levels above BBD

They've got Mowbrays boys away on Wednesday, a lot tougher game than ours on paper. I don't want to tempt fate but Reading haven't won away since November. We need to go into this one on a high. The blades fans aren't a happy bunch at all, calling for the managers head. A loss on Wednesday for them would be ideal....

Fair play, see under our old manager who's ne shan't be mentioned, there's no way we'd have done this. The players would be told to have the weekend off and forget about it. -

We looked world beaters on Leicesters carpet of a pitch..... -

The most obvious thing to take away from last night (I guess we kinda knew anyway), is that if we are to win games our defence needs to play well. Collectively they were all poor last night hence the result. Perhaps we do rely on them a bit too much.... We really mustn't be too despondent though, we were always gonna get the odd loss thrown in before the end of the season, we need to make sure it is just the odd one now though. -

I think after that it's time for a few games on the bench for Pickering, I wouldn't be surprised if Dolan sat the next one out too. Neil knew the weakest point and exploited it to a tee, Brittain hopefully gets a few starts now. They all looked absolutely rattled from the off though, from the minute Pears flapped at that cross I thought hmm this might not end well. The usually calm Hyam looked erratic, and Carter looked terrified all game. 3-2 looks a damn sight better than 3-0 but still a night to forget, for literally every player representing us. Thankfully we have a chance to put things right soon, you just KNOW every result will go against us today..... -

I read that last night and some of the opinions lead me to think they've never even seen us play lately, they're so far wide of the mark on our playing style -

If you ask me its completely safe, as a nation we have it drummed into us that its unsafe to drive in snow though. Its the incompetent drivers that are the unsafe thing. Judging by the fact I'm the only person in the gym this morning it looks like I'm in a minority though 😵💫 -

Bit more snow that I expected overnight, would be a disaster if this gets called off now. Hull last season screwed us right over 😢
