  1. Not much to add apart from Hedges has clearly been missed, we've been gash since he was out the team. Thankfully we saw we can be a bit better with him! Not sure what Buckley is playing at, I clearly remember people thinking this was his season after a few games, now here we are with him playing like me after 12 pints.
  2. It's the BRFCS way, make out current players are shitter than they are and absolute cranks that have left were decent.
  3. Looks like Butterworth may be off somewhere, not featuring for the reserves today..
  4. Markanday starts for the reserves, bit disappointed in that if I'm honest, thought he'd involve him today..
  5. It's OK quoting how many summer departures there were, but is there even any point counting ones that had little or no use? In terms of useful departures I would count Lenihan, Nyambe, Rothwell, Van Hecke, Khadra. None of the others impacted our season unless you want to count Johnson playing as a false 9. Nyambe has been replaced by a better player IMO. Hyam I would suggest is at least on a par with Lenihan, he may be better (injury record certainly is). Van Hecke is a miss though no doubt about it. Can we expect Carter to step up to that standard? Highly doubtful. Van Den Berg is probably a similar standard but not sure that's even an option now. The jury is out on Szmodics, for too early to dismiss him though like some have. Markanday I like the look of, again it's way too early to truly know him though. But I think he can be as effective as Khadra. Ideal scenario is we'd get one of the vans in and another midfielder, I suspect both positions will be filled by 2 loans. Is the squad stronger than last seasons? No (not yet anyway). I would say it's likely to be of a similar strength though and I'm convinced a better manager would have done better with last seasons squad. You never know, we may get a couple of players in Jan too let's not forget. Our fringe players now need to be academy graduates rather than Davenports and Johnsons, and yes I'm OK with that....
  6. How many would you say we need? I think 3 would be ok really. The wider plan is clearly to also blood our own youth, stock piling players ain't gonna happen, nice as it would be. The main problem with the model of course is it can be disrupted by injuries. No way Philips would have been thrown in like he has otherwise. He'd have played a few cup games and come on last 20 mins here and there. It'd be nice to have a bit of luck with injuries for once....
  7. Says a few others are touch and go though ffs, we need a break on the injury front for once
  8. He just posts random bullshit posts on here, odd behaviour. Suppose he'll get something right one day, law of averages and all that.
  9. All he did was buzz about on corners trying to p*ss Travis off, feck all else
  10. Caulker would be such a weird out of the blue signing. Mind you, most names linked/signed seem to come from nowhere these days.
  11. We're not going back to these odds debates are we 🤣 The number of new managers people believed on here before JDT came in was off the scale..
  12. It's was practically done, a case of when not if several sources reported. However Liverpools injury crisis rumbles on, how long will it take and how long are we prepared to wait? The clock ain't stopping ticking....
  13. Only just noticed Umtiti has gone Lecce on loan, bit of a coup if he can stay fit and recover some form 😳
  14. Matt Clarke cost around 2.5m, we should be paying around the same. Coventry will end up accepting I think, no-mark owners will just see a few quid to pocket.
  15. Hyam looks a decent signing without being mind blowing, up for it. What does appeal is he's played pretty much all their games for the past few seasons so he should at least be reliable!
  16. Think its clear we're waiting on Van Den Berg to be honest. Philips is effectively plugging a gap till Wharton is fit anyway, then there's also Carter although the BRFCS mafia will label him as shite no doubt. If Van Den Berg doesn't come after all this waiting though we've got a big problem. Had an interesting talk to someone earlier who informed me Liverpool can be right dicks with regards to loans too. Heard about a young lad having a loan deal all done and dusted to sign for Crewe, he'd sorted his digs and everything out but they pulled the plug because Crewe wouldn't pay them 50k up front.
  17. Dacky, Markanday and Wharton definitely all knocking on the door for a start, or at least 30 mins apiece here. Stoke have had a rancid start and definitely a game we need to be looking to win, At some point you'd expect Dwight Gayle to start scoring though and they've got Delap too - a bit jealous of their striking options really. 3-1 win.
  18. Is there not still an appeal process in place for work permits? I appealed one loads of times on champ manager 01/02 (best one). Put the bastards in a room with JDT and watch them crumble at his cheeky smile.
  19. 4 or 5 turnstiles were ticket only, 1 pay on the day. I don't think even we'd do something that stupid 🤨
  20. Good result, regardless of Bradfords league status, to only concede one with that patched up defence is credit to the lads that played. Sounds like Markanday and Dack did enough to merit some involvement at least at weekend. I'd be starting both especially if Hedges is out still. Sharpe calling JRC out for praise too which is good to see...
  21. Even if we were interested in Joao, West Brom are. West Brom don't have to wait for a carrier pigeon to arrive back from Pune with a signed cheque in its beak. West Brom sign the player despite us doing 'all we can'. I'm a positive person in general in all aspects of life, but struggling to keep watching this circus season after season.
  22. Pretty much the only real involvement Annesley has had since he's been here is the official twitter oage tweeting when he plays for Gibraltar. Forgive us for not creaming ourselves in excitement
  23. This is exactly how I imagine all our transfer activity pans out. GB is getting a load of grief but people are overlooking all the previous transfer Windows. Apparently he will talk in September, well at this rate he will be talking to say stick your fucking job just like most people would if they're working with such morons. It does beg the question why they've even bothered bringing him to the club if they're not prepared to co-operate. What's Suhail doing whilst this is all going on, or not going on? Isn't he supposed to speak to the loons in Pune daily? Nevermind though we'll announce some prayers on the pitch or an under 13 player signing a deal soon to try and keep the fans upbeat.
