  1. Not entirely sure, we know only too well about the scheming scum who have been involved in previous transfer deals though. It beggars belief that numerous managers have seemingly been unable to sign any decent defenders though, yet big fees on strikers get signed off. There's absolutely no way on earth Mowbray can think the current defensive personnel are up to the task in hand, he might have his flaws but he's definitely not that daft.
  2. Bit dubious of this Doc's opinion, going off yesterday he sounds like he's describing a different keeper. Also he said he's not going to bring the ball up the pitch and dribble past the opposition, I should bloody hope not Doc no ?
  3. There has simply GOT to be more to the defensive issue, I refuse to believe anyone could just sit there thinking its fine. This issue spans much further than Mowbray now and his constant pissed off look when the defence folds again says it all.
  4. If we play like that every week we will win games. No, not my opinion, just one we continually hear. Was impressed at times today BUT Bell. Seriously. Stop playing this lad please. Apart from that Kamy for me was excellent and will grow. Dolan, wow this lad is gonna do tings. Yeah I said tings. We go again.....
  5. Not the same this is it ? Usually feels like Xmas morning and should be on a jolly jaunt to Bournemouth for the weekend on the ale. With no end in sight either FFS. I'm still a bit excited though I can't lie, despite the lack of signings etc. 2-2 today.
  6. Well I guess we're pretty much at the stage now we need to hope he pulls another rabbit out the hat in the loan market. Most of the decent freebies seem to have been snapped up, most managers know who they want to keep at their clubs. I mean to be fair he has had some decent success in the loan market but its still ridiculous this inability to sign defenders. Some of the key players for promoted teams the past few seasons have been loans so they can serve a purpose. And no I'm not saying we're in contention for promotion at present.
  7. Surely Arsenal wouldn't want Raya as first choice? Leno is a far better keeper and only in his prime right now. I hope he does get the move from a selfish money grabbing perspective, but cash aside it would be a poor career decision to go bench warming at the Emirates.
  8. What a weird comment. He was just as much in the 'national glare' at Premier league bournemourh
  9. Looks like Wilson is off to the toon for 20m, absolute steal that I would say, bad for the ? though
  10. All hinges on sorting the defence. As it stands we're an injury away from relegation. Solid permanent and a naughty little loan we can be top 6.
  11. Forest should be a real threat if Lyle kicks on and does well, which I imagine he will. Hard to see past Norwich winning the league though. Us at present? Mid/lower half. Mid if the keeper turns out OK, huge problem if not.
  12. he absolutely isn't better at left back at all, if anywhere he plays centre half
  13. The if he's fit part is the biggest issue though, and the reason I'm not keen - although he's better than bloody nothing.
  14. Even Wigan, in all the shite they're in managed to sign Solomon Otabor yesterday ? Still, we're working hard on getting some bodies through the door.....
  15. Amazed at the positive Hanley comments, he ain't interested in this game at all, goes out on the piss all the time and subsequently gets 'injured' a hell of a lot. Not for me.
  16. I'll dress the situation up a different way chaddy. You go out Saturday afternoon and neck a good 18 pints of Stella. There's a naughty little blonde offering it on a plate later on so you take her home and do the deed. What a do, she's got all the moves. Later the next week you feel a bit tender downstairs and something ain't right, you go to the clap clinic and she's given you a nasty dose of chlamydia the slapper! A month later you're back on the Stella, even a few sambuca this time. Ey up she's knocking about again and looking incredible. Things start following the same route as last time. Do you stop and think maybe you should bag up this time or just not bother at all? Going into the season with Bell as left back and no new centre halves is going in balls deep, 3 times, and not washing for a month after.
  17. Even by your standards you're completely scraping the barrel here ? Maybe we should aim to go 3 nil down every game too, after all Liverpool did in Istanbul and still won the champions league final? ?
  18. Just as another sample of our fanbase, this is a group off Facebook The figures don't seem too bad between the 2, although ANY loss of season ticket holders is obviously sad news.
  19. Needs a not a current season ticket holder, won't be buying one option.
  20. Its what is commonly referred to as a 'Chadism' - suspect it may get added to the Oxford dictionary next time they update it.
  21. Regarding the shop reopening, does seem a bit pointless at this stage. Numbers through the door would be pretty much non-existent now. Opening weeks ago would have made sense with it being holiday season, kids off etc but now they're back I assume you'd have a handful of pensioners and maybe the odd person nipping in on a lunch break (although not sure what for). The time to reopen is when we have something worthwhile to sell now, so when the kits are available, some form of season ticket available and of course I hate to say it but Christmas is gonna be on people's minds before too long for gift ideas.
  22. Not sure about his ability to kick the shit out of anyone but in fairness Holtby fits the age profile.
