  1. The last time Lancs were in the finals (2015?) I found myself in Birmingham on the day and managed to get a hospitality ticket a few days before. My recollection was that I paid c£175 for it. I just looked now and a very similar package is going for £431!! The tickets for next year are going on sale in about 2 weeks! Anyway I'm planning to go to Southport for the 4 day game on Thursday - a somewhat more reasonable £8 (old folks rate).
  2. Frankly it could be either. The page on matchday pricing talks about the £3 surcharge for tickets bought after 12pm for day games or 6pm for evening games and doesn't mention any exemptions for cup games. But there is no specific reference on the Lincoln page. One way to avoid it is to get 1875 membership but at £10 that might be a step too far for your first game back for a while!
  3. I know it isn’t the official reason but that’s widely disbelieved in Bristol and by me. I asked the question at the Fans Forum and got the same official response. It seems to me that they can’t practically have a rugby game on the Friday night and a football game on the Saturday afternoon on the same pitch. I think we should be thankful our game is very early in the season - I can’t imagine the pitch will be too great in the winter. I suspect someone has cocked up on the fixture front - they should be playing the rugby on weekends when Bristol Rovers are at home.
  4. Bristol rugby play at Ashton Gate. They had their opening game last night against Bath. City are going to be playing several home games on Sundays.
  5. The tickets only went on open sale this morning. Are you on the club’s database? If so, I assume they will sell you a ticket over the phone and post it to you. You have plenty of time for it to be posted.
  6. Plymouth beat Bristol City.
  7. Ah - Daily Mail. Must be right then chaddy.
  8. That's coming soon but whether for the first home game of the season i'm not sure. We have been told at the Fans Forum that new ST cards will be out before the first home game, but not much before.
  9. Premium Credit accepted everyone - it was part of the agreement. They have gone back to Zebra this year, who are doing full credit checks.
  10. Tom - I remember Míchel Salgado telling us in India what a wonderful player Cotton was going to be. I guess that explains why Salgado hasn’t gone into management!
  11. There's another reason for the surcharge, in that it avoids long queues of people rocking up at the ticket office at 2.45.
  12. He was hardly going to say that he expected loads of ST sales on July 20th or whenever was he though? He was just making a general point that it there is no financial incentive now to buy a season ticket before the first home game of the season.
  13. I don't Matty, sorry, but there will be a number sold around the start of the season. I do know that at the Fans Forum last week the club had sold more than last season's number, which would have included half season ticket sales as well. The 10,500 target is I assume the stretch target they have spoken about a few times. At the Forum Mike Cheston was hoping they would get to that target on full ST sales but strictly speaking they would meet it with half ST sales. I also know that very few will now be sold before 11th August as there is now no incentive to do so, but that some will be sold from then until they go off sale sometime in September. What that number is is anyone's guess but will depend on what happens in the first few weeks of the season. Some of that will be who we sign whether permanently or on loan but some will also be on performances. As we know from last season the biggest way to boost sales is to win matches. The club are still planning to do a price promotion at one of the early games in the season. I was assuming it would be the Millwall game but that's not definite - they could be waiting until after the main holiday season.
  14. Keep up lads. From the Fans Forum last week: - JW asked for an update on the release of new club kits. MC replied that the home kit would be released on Wednesday 18th July and would be used at the Liverpool game.
  15. You've missed a key word out there. Lynsey said that there might be games when they would close the Riverside. What she meant there was say a Carabao Cup game on a Tuesday night against a League 2 team. I doubt anyone would be surprised if the Riverside was shut in that circumstance.
  16. This is the minute from the Fans Forum meeting last Monday on the Riverside: - TS asked whether there were any plans to close the Riverside stand for games after the pre-season games. LT replied that there were no plans to do so but there may be games where it would make commercial sense. MC stated that the club accepted that the stand needed modernising but there were no plans in the short term. In the long term the club would like to redevelop the stand but at this stage these were just conversations rather than definite plans. There was however absolutely no intention to close the Riverside stand other than for any future possible redevelopment.
  17. Chaddy - I've no idea what the restructure will be and nor should I or you before the people involved have been told. All i know is that it is coming soon.
  18. Before you all get carried away with guessing, he was in London for the appeal to the FA for the ladies team to be promoted.
  19. Of course we haven't.
  20. Point of correction. I’m pretty sure Greg Coar said that it was 15-16% of sales were to new AND returning customers.
  21. Assuming the plan hasn't changed, we should expect the first home game against Millwall to be a cheap one, probably £10.
  22. All 11 club pitches, including Ewood and those at Brockhall, have been relayed this Summer. In other news goal line technology has to be installed as well as it's a Championship requirement. This comes at a cost of £83,000, which has to be paid for by the club.
  23. They don't normally Tom, except they occasionally have but only after full STs are taken off sale, which isn't until well into September. Of course we have a new man in charge this year so things could change.
  24. From what I know £2m sounds about right should we have 10,000 ST holders. I presume Steve Waggott will be saying something about ST sales on Thursday night, although I doubt he will give out any exact figures at this stage. Rovers have certainly lost some cash from this family this coming season. My son has decided not to renew - given a combination of work shifts and holidays meant he only saw 4/5 games all last season it was a no brainer for him, no matter how much he might want to come. I'm a senior for the first time this year so I've only paid £215 for my JW Upper seat. Mind you I still have the rug and flask to buy yet.
