As I've said - drop Kane, play Bellingham up front and Foden off him. Play Palmer / Gordon on the left. As for Rice, he's clearly a fantastic player and cleans up A LOT in defence, but no he's not a creative player. Again I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal put in a cheeky bid for him after the summer, with Rice singing his praises. He's the perfect foil.

Fans would be willing to put their hands in their pockets and support the club in numbers if we simply looked like we had a coherent plan. Handing out contracts to a 37 year old Downing (who hadn't had a pre-season and looked sluggish the previous year) or a crocked Fleck reeks of panic. Letting Brereton, Lenihan, Rothwell et al leave for nothing then lamenting that there's a hole in the budget is comical. That's not even mentioning them repeatedly dragging our name through the mud with the O'Brien, Brierly and McGuire transfer debacles (and the many like Caulker which are usually swept under the rug). This is not a club to be proud of and hasn't been for 14 years.

There's a massive appetite for football in the region - you can see that just from the discounted ticket / family / Trust days. The problem is that the club is run by absolute clowns so there's nothing of substance to hang your support on.

Good luck to them - they have until September to fix their financial issues. We had about 5 days before we went bust in January. If the FA had any competency they'd have forced the Venkys to sell years ago. How they pass a fit and proper owners check is beyond me.
