  1. Agreed, this is a big window for us. The prior window they didn't have a great deal of time and still got some quality in. This window it's clear we don't have a great deal of money so it has to be spent wisely. A goal scoring #9 would transform this team.
  2. We literally train at Ewood when Brockhall is frozen. JDT wants them training and playing on grass, end of.
  3. We're not though, are we. They've swung their foot through two balls from 20+ yards out and they've both ended up in the back of the net. That's literally all they've created today.
  4. The last regime spent £12m on two strikers that can't trap a ball. I'm not going to tar JDT and Broughton with the same brush just yet.
  5. The other thing screaming out in this performance, as it does every week, is that we have absolutely no pace.
  6. We both know he needs replacing, but it's a long term project to get this squad anything like.
  7. I bet he's quicker in a sprint that Dolan and Markanday and he's certainly significantly bigger. As I've repeatedly said I'd love to move on from him, but you've got to wee with the willy you've got. I'm by no means defending him.
  8. We create nothing? This is literally 3-1 with a good striker or two. I can't emphasise enough how bad those Gallagher and Hedges misses are - the Dack one should have been slotted away too if we're honest. Much like the Boro and Cardiff games, we're dying for a proper #9 to put the bloody ball in the back of the net.
  9. I don't think he's a battering ram of a CF, but he's a big, athletic player that causes CBs to at least think about the aerial threat. You're asking JDT to replace him with two 5'6" / 5'7" players. I've said time and again that Vale gets bullied at this level - he's not good enough, despite being a tidy player on the ball.
  10. You must have a lion padding around your house. Gallagher's first touch is poor (and so is his finishing), but at the end of the day he's still an athletic 6'4" bloke who puts a shift in.
  11. We've been by far the better team, we just don't have anyone who can put a golden chance in the back of the net. Dack should AT LEAST have hit the target with his header. Hedges and Gallagher should both have scored. End of.
  12. I'd just take a good striker. If that's a PL loanee so be it. You only need to score 1 in 3 to be considered a legend around here these days.
  13. You lose all your physicality upfront, but it's worth a shot.
  14. Another gift from Mowbray - knowing that he was leaving he extended Gallagher's contract. He'll be on good money and we can't shift him on.
  15. He's not as good as the media puff pieces pre-match make him out to be either.
  16. We've carved out 3 golden chances - we've just missed all 3.
  17. Sadly he's doing what Morton should be doing - dictating play from deep. Leaves us short upfront.
  18. Hence why I keep saying the job JDT is doing is nothing short of astounding.
  19. We're not weak at CB and people were specifically asking for a midfield destroyer.
  20. Golden chance missed by Dack. C'mon, Bradley.
  21. Apparently the reason Mowbray played Gallagher and Brereton-Diaz out wide is because they both had (have) poor first touches. He paid £12m for the pair. Clown.
