I can't take him seriously - he looks like a 50 year old ex-rocker about to go on a night out whilst stood on the sideline.

Which is why they made minimal effort to re-sign him. He'd be lovely to have on the books as cover for RB and CB, but he doesn't bring enough to the table going forward to be considered an excellent modern FB.

To be fair the loan would have been good for him - he needed a run of starts at any professional level. I'm glad it's worked out with us in the Championship, but the theory was sound. The same thing is happening with Pears too. With regards to how he plays - Brittain is the style of FB that JDT wants. If you watch closely they have Travis covering for JRC when he gets upfield because he still isn't athletic enough to get back properly.

I don't think it's any coincidence that since Buckley has come back into the side we've gone on an excellent run of form. He's now getting a run of games at his best position - he's only going to improve from here and he's already very good.

Sheffield United absolutely battered us at Bramall Lane - one of the few teams that have looked a different class to us this year (the other, realistically, being Burnley). I'd be very surprised if we got anything out of the return fixture, although they are having a little wobble.

Probably a comfortable 7/10? He adds pace / physicality / directness to the attack and he works his socks off in defence. He wasn't outstanding today, but he contributed to an excellent team performance.

We haven't missed Ben Brereton-Diaz one bit.

Absolutely we do, but he ran the line well today and put the ball in the back of the net twice. We can probably give the criticism a rest for a day.

LB and CF are our problem areas imo.

JDT has clearly given up on Morton as a CM - that's twice now he's brought Morton on to play AMC.

What a player Brittain is btw. Another one like him in the summer for LB would be amazing.

Ben Brereton-Diaz? It's partly why the whole idea to play our Academy graduates is a sensible one - you never quite know how they're going to develop with a run in the side / training with the First XI.

He was a very highly rated youngster - I think part of it is just he's getting a run of games now. He's had an injury plagued career so far.

I do wonder what games I'm watching. He bossed the midfield against Blackpool and he's having another good game today.

JRC took out 4 players with that dribble and pass. You can't account for a RB doing that.

No chance - Pickering can't get up and down the pitch. It's no coincidence that we look a better side with JRC and Brittain starting at FB (you can cover one of JRC / Pickering, but not both).

Their CF just time wasted by kicking our free kick away - surprised this 'by the book' referee didn't book him for that...
