  1. I'm going to look at their transfer history later, but they've just brought on a £4m Argentinian sub and Dundee's first choice GK last season. Riches we can only dream of these days.
  2. Wanking over that Jota trick when he did nothing with the ball. Our defence reset and nullified it.
  3. We'd struggle to find better at this level and there's no transfer fee. Hopefully some of the players have been texting him saying it's night and day to Mowbray.
  4. Out of interest would that be Broughton offering that contract? Or was his mind made up before our new team arrived?
  5. It's a funny one because Ayala is leagues better than Lenihan... he's just never fit. Bad signing at the time, but you can understand the wage disparity if you're assuming he suddenly overcomes his injury history.
  6. Well that'd be 11 First Team players out the door, so you'd hope they'd bring in replacements...
  7. I'd play him at RB ahead of Brown. He should be cover at RB and CB throughout the season until he forces his way into the side. We need a RB desperately. I'd love Nyambe to have a change of heart.
  8. Firstly it's a pre-season friendly - I don't expect a tactical masterclass. Secondly this is how he wants to play, so he wants to see how far off the pace our FBs are. I'm sure he knows, but this is irrefutable evidence.
  9. Nyambe is poor going forward, so that's an insult.
  10. Should have passed (to Vale I think?). He's a greedy see you next Tuesday at times.
  11. That's why I'm desperate to sell Brereton for £15-20m. That's a sitter.
  12. Because they've been coached by a loser for 5 years. You have to give JDT and his Assistant time to wash the stink off.
  13. Yes and no. He's an emergency RB for mine - so hopefully this doesn't wreck his confidence. I have him down as solid CB depth this season.
  14. Both FB positions are up there in my list of concerns. Pickering won't be able to play how JDT wants his FBs to.
  15. He's too slow to play against anyone with genuine pace. It's why he can't be played as a LWB, but this Israeli is murdering him at LB today.
  16. Can we have this Jota lad? He's rinsing us.
  17. Be curious to see how much longer his positive demeanor lasts - that's an U23 bench and this is our First XI.
  18. His mum will want to get off Twitter if he's shafting the club like that.
  19. Being played by who? Broughton is literally the most qualified guy at the club - far more qualified than anyone we've had for a while. JDT was a borderline World Class player and clearly a highly ambitious manager (he walked away from a very comfortable job). They're not going along with this conspiracy theory that some on here have woven - either they get backed in the transfer market, or both will be off before Christmas and this club gets relegated.
  20. Branthwaite, Poveda, Zeefuik, Giles (good player, but not at RW), Douglas, Trybull, Walton, Palmer - not to mention spending £400k on his mate's son in net. Just the facts, Jack.
  21. Agree to disagree. Travis was heading out on loan when Smallwood / Evans got injured and he was thrust into the starting lineup. He quickly became one of our best players (and is, quite frankly, the first name on my team sheet at present)... yet Tony didn't think he was good enough to displace two cloggers. Wharton was sent out on loan twice, I believe securing back-to-back promotions with Bury and Northampton, but Mowbray didn't think he was good enough at 22 and was actively looking to move him on that summer. Again, he was our best CB last year (Ayala is better, but never fit - and he's a better CB than Lenihan). He messed around with Nyambe, benching him for players like Bennett. So whilst I disagree with the overreliance on Academy prospects this summer transfer window, I've no doubt 2-3 can step up to fill squad places and push for starts because Mowbray didn't know what he had. He loaned in Clarkson ffs - I saw him play against our U23s and we ran him off the park.
  22. I honestly think Waggot is out of that loop. Broughton has a direct line to the owners RE transfers. Waggot is just in charge of squeezing our remaining fans out of every penny he can. And the Head of Recruitment will work independently to the Director of Football i.e. he's not sat there waiting for requests. He's constantly, actively scouting players and updating the club's database for when said request lands on his desk.
  23. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. I despise what the Venkys have done to this club. That said I also recognize that JDT and Broughton haven't had much time to put their plans into action. I'm not worrying about conspiracy theories that they've been sold a lemon etc because the money was always there for Mowbray - he just spent it poorly.
