I really don’t think he wants promotion. He wants another season of his journey, finishing mid table, no pressure, whilst picking up a nice wage. If we were to be in the Top flight under Mowbray it would be a disaster. We’d be breaking even more unwanted records.

Game was over in January when we didn’t sign a goalscorer and started the 100% inevitable Mowbray death spiral. Another 2 or 3 matches to go and then we’ll start picking up some wins, he’ll get a new contract and it’ll be rinse and repeat next season.

If we were offered Van Hecke and Khadra in a good deal, it would be a tough decision. I’d be upset to see him leave, I love seeing his positivity and he seems like such a fantastic lad too. I wonder what his feelings would be on a possible move. Free agent to the PL in a few seasons would be crazy, but I get the impression he likes it here and most likely appreciates us giving him a chance after being released from Nob End.
