  1. Yeah he's been brilliant just recently. Would like to see him try and some goals to his game now.
  2. Chris Samba is an employee. Of course he is only here until something better crops up, to think otherwise is ridiculous.
  3. The club would be making a huge song and dance about it if we were close to selling the 2k allocation. Think around 1500 or so is about right usually for Stoke. Big game, but still don't see us having enough about us to beat someone above us in the league, especially away from home. 1-1 or a 2-1 defeat.
  4. Nyambe, Rothwell & Lenihan are mid table second division footballers. I know the narrative will be that they are all asking for too much money, but I very much doubt that is the case. I suspect it's because we wont pay the going rate for mid table second division footballers, whatever that is these days.
  5. On about Ryan Hedges from Aberdeen I think. He seems to be the classic modern way winger that is left footed but plays on the right hand side.
  6. No, because if you look at the past 3 February's, then we're pretty much guaranteed to finish somewhere between 15th-12th whatever Mowbray does in Jan. The last thing we need is him signing a new contract.
  7. If we're still in a similar position come Christmas, and these games were being marketed now at £20 for both I think you would get a huge uptake, Christmas is the best time to strike with a lot being home for the holidays or back from Uni or whatever. You could still charge away fans between £25/30 too. Isn't the Wigan game 2 years ago still the most Rovers fans we have had inside Ewood at this level since relegation? That was a Monday night, the night before Christmas Eve and priced at £15 a ticket if I remember correctly. Fully expecting nothing, especially for the Hudds game as there is potential to get 2/3000 away fans in for that.
  8. I'm not sure about that. For managers looking in, they will see that Mowbray has had 5 pretty much pressure free years at the job, decent backing overall with transfer fees, free transfers (if they are from Middlesbrough), loan fees/wages. He's only had to sell one player in his time here, and even employed his own CEO. Who wouldn't want some of that action?
  9. I also think this was the last league game that we won "6-something". A few 7's and plenty of 5's since then but never a 6 goal win. In the cup I can remember 6-0/1 wins against Watford, Preston and Rochdale since then.
  10. Dolan at wing back sounds a very Mowbray thing to do.
  11. I think they offered it him knowing full well he was never going to stay.
  12. I'm expecting an announcement at some point over the next 6 months that Mowbray has signed a 12 month rolling extension to his contract.
  13. There is a certain section of fans that will always do that. Always found it to be a bit weird.
  14. Rovers 0 Coventry 3 The early season wheels have well and truly fallen off.
  15. I dislike Mowbray more than most, but I really couldn't give a damn if he came over to the fans and "clapped" after the game or not. When did fans get so precious over people clapping them at the end of a game or not? Must coincide with the social media boom I'm guessing.
  16. Took 10k cash out yesterday on the Diaz bet. I think he will probably do it, but can't really be turning down that kind of money when there is that 1% chance he will leave in Jan or get a bad injury somewhere.
  17. They were in this league last season though to be fair.
  18. He did this back in 2019 too, sent Downing out on loan at the end of the transfer window without replacing him only for Lenihan to get injured in the next game. Ended up with Mulgrew and Rodwell as centre halves along with Magloire(!) as next in line. We then went on to lose 9 of the next 11 games.
  19. Where is this from?
  20. Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell probably out for Saturday, I'm guessing this is the start of the inevitable Mowbray "1 win in 10" run. Usually I would think I'm being a bit dramatic basing it on one game but ive seen enough of Mowbray to know what comes next. Blackpool 2 Rovers 0
  21. If someone had told you at the start of the season that Brereton and Gallagher would have double figures between them by the end of September you would think they meant September 2022. Fair play to them, our side looks much more consistent at the moment, and that's because Mowbray doesn't have loads of players to keep happy anymore so he's been forced to play his strongest 11 every game. Don't think we'll lose tonight, feel likes it got a draw written all over it but I wouldn't be surprised to see us snatch a win. I think Saturday will be the banana skin with a big following going, and the vast majority probably expecting to win comfortably no doubt.
  22. To be honest though there is nothing worse than the "I know something but I'm not telling you" posts.
  23. If you are walking out feeling empty after winning games I would say that says more about you than Big Sam's style of football. I loved that 9-10 season, only 3 home defeats all season, including beating Arsenal and drawing with the other 3 of of the "big 4", good away wins at Bolton and Burnley, plus a league Cup Semi final run. Night and day to anything we have experienced since.
  24. Ourselves and Utd got the exact same amount of points after Cantona was suspended, so we were better than them when he was available. A common myth that we only won the league because he got suspended, up there with buying the title etc.
  25. Cant imagine him signing a new contract unfortunately.
