Whilst I agree, 145 games under his belt at 21 isn't bad. The level he's played at though is obviously debatable.

I think the point is, we were having this discussion last summer when Diaz and Dack left. Who had scored around 30 between them the season before. Nobody expected Szmodics to step up with over 30 goals, anyone saying as much would have rightly been shut down as unrealistic. You just never know that someone might just step again, I personally think it's unlikely and our run of goalscorers will come to an end, but you just never know.
