  1. When that idiot made monkey gestures to Dwight Yorke as he was warming up ?
  2. Glory hunting ? Everything aligned on that day, it was one of the very rare "occasion" matches at Ewood in recent years where it was the last day of the season, £10 a ticket, bank holiday weekend, glorious day weatherwise, late afternoon kick off, and the promise of a "promotion celebration day". A lot probably made a day or weekend of it, a lot of exiled fans probably came over with it being a rare day. I honestly think they could make it £10 every game and there wouldn't be that much of an increase if we're still plodding about between 12th & 16th in this league.
  3. We had just won a promotion, and it was £10 a ticket.
  4. Why not just charge Sheff Wed £40 for the darwen end upper and keep home prices what they usually are? The like for like seats are the in the Blackburn end upper and we don't open that up anyway, so it can be done. Sure we would have to charge them £28 or whatever it is in the lower should they sell out, but are they going to bring more than 3k at £40? I wouldn't have thought so. Ask Waggott that at the next FF please.
  5. 1875 members get £15 off for the Sheff Wed game too.
  6. Yeah I remember that clearly. They used to sell us upper's first at £33 or whatever it was which seemed ridiculous back then, then the lower tier tickets were around £10 cheaper. Remember one year (06-07 I think) when everyone caused a massive stink about it and we got allocated the lowers first, as we had only charged them £15 for the game at Ewood!
  7. Sheffield Wednesday have just released ticket details for there game at Ewood in a few weeks, £40 for the Darwen End Upper. What I don't understand is, why are home prices increased for this fixture then we don't have too? We can get away with charging £40 for away fans as we don't open up the Blackburn end Upper anyway which would be the "like for like" seats. Then if they sell those out, they can have lower tier tickets at £28 or whatever it would be normally in the Blackburn End Lower.
  8. All meaningless though, any player at any club will say exactly the same thing. As others have said, the proof is what happens on the pitch, and I haven't seen any sense of urgency from this bunch for a while now.
  9. Dave Artell would go exactly the same way as Nathan Jones at Stoke.
  10. Even worse than usual it will be at around 1430 ? I think this will be a draw, a slow, plodding, bore of one too. 0-0 or 1-1.
  11. Me too. I fear he wont though with Mowbrays chopping and changing on a weekly basis. Thing with Dack is though, he knows he he is playing every week along with Bennett & Downing regardless of form so he can probably do what he likes.
  12. Not a bad life is it, plod about in a lower mid table second division side, score the odd goal, win a few, lose a few without any urgency, jet off to Dubai (or wherever) for a jolly every four weeks. Theres only Williams and Evans away for international duty, in my mind they should have had two intensive weeks training getting themselves ready for the next batch of fixtures. I could half excuse it if we were sat top of the league, but from what I have seen so far this season we could probably fill two months worth of training with things to do never mind two weeks. Still, nobody is that bothered at the club so it does make you wonder why we should be.
  13. With Cunningham out, I think I would be half tempted to go 3 at the back, with Bennett & Downing as wing backs.
  14. He wants to be there is my guess. We're just a pay day for him, I don't think I have ever seen a player go through the motions as much as this guy.
  15. Think Nyambe would be ahead of Grayson, but yeah what a horrible situation, and one everybody could see coming apart from big tone.
  16. I'll take that bet. He'll definitely still be here.
  17. Hughes has fallen into the same category as Steve Bruce now. Like Chaddy says he's only going to manage in the top flight again if he gets promoted there with someone. I'd swap him for Mowbray in a heartbeat though.
  18. Yeah I think so. But like you say, theres pretty much zero chance of that happening.
  19. I'd be half tempted to throw Sam Hart in there than trying to watch Bell or Williams plod about there again, I have seen enough of them at left back.
  20. Are Burnley "big enough" to survive in the Premier League? Or Bournemouth, Watford etc? What an odd comment.
  21. I think Hull do something similar don't they?
  22. Strange one this signing. I can see why we have snapped him up because players of this quality don't come around every day, but I don't think Mowbray has the first clue what to do with him, and I would put my mortgage on him being shunted out wide when he finally does get to start.
