  1. The Darwen End upper idea should definitely be implemented, why isn't it? We don't open up the like for like seats anyway. As for the local promotion, I don't think that is even a thing anymore? I definitely remember us doing it once (although not to the extreme that other clubs have done), about 5/6 years ago against Leeds, we charged them £34 in the Darwen end whilst Bburn end prices were £25. I think it was the game where Tommy Spurr scored the winner.
  2. "All because they charged us that last season" They charged us £33 last season, why does that justify us charging them an extra £7?
  3. He left Coventry after going 10 games without a win, in his own words it was "embarrassing". 4 more to go until we get there, I suspect we'll win one of them just to keep him ticking over.
  4. I disagree, give them something to think about. We can't keep things tight anyway who ever plays so we might aswell give it a go. I would love to see Chapman and Rothwell on opposing flanks at some point but it'll never happen.
  5. None of them buggers are captain material. If they were it wouldn't matter who the "official" captain was they would be rallying the troops etc, instead of the spineless shrugging of the shoulders we see time and time again when we go behind, especially away from home.
  6. Gareth Ainsworth I fear would be our "Nathan Jones". None of the millionaires in our dressing room are listening to him.
  7. I just want us to show up with players playing where they are comfortable, play with a bit of urgency, and not to just give up when we inevitably to a goal behind. Even under Coyle, we managed to come from behind to win at this level (twice aswell!), something we haven't managed since Mowbray came in. Saying that, I expect the same dreary players in the same unfamiliar positions, and probably a 3-0 defeat.
  8. Lose 3-0 on Saturday, Bennett, Dack, Nyambe and whoever else will come out with "not the result we wanted today, hard one to take, but we'll take the positives and learn from it, support was amazing" on Twitter or something. Then we'll carry on limping through, draw at home to Sheff Wed, lose away at Leeds, then Mowbray will come out with some guff about "regrouping during the international break". All so predictable here at the minute.
  9. I'd drive myself insane if I tried to find that stat ?
  10. Nearly 5 years to the day. October 25th 2014 away at Nottingham Forest, 1-0 down at half time ended up in a 3-1 win. We managed to do it once in league one, away at Peterborough in December 2017, 1-0 down at half time to end up winning 3-2.
  11. Another stat to add to the opening post is this... We haven't come from behind to win an away game at this level since October 2014 ?
  12. 4 Gestede headers wasn't it? Bank Holiday Monday, £10 a ticket, even on the day too as I made a last minute decision to go, In the middle of a long unbeaten run to try and sneak in the play offs, it had all the makings of a huge "walk on away following". Then Good Friday happened, and we played for a 0-0 (and succeeded too) with bottom of the table Yeovil at Ewood. The more things change the more they stay the same.
  13. Every interview you hear/see with a Rovers player after a dismal performance seems to go back to "not being to far away" and getting some "consistency" going, but the bit I have highlighted is why you will never see any kind of consistency in the side because Mowbray decides to make 3 or 4 changes every game just to keep people happy.
  14. We'll definitely win one before the international break just to keep us plodding around in 14th/15th. The only guarantee is that it won't be against Preston. I think it could be tonight.
  15. We'll keep limping on, winning once in every 4 or 5 games or so just to give us enough of a cushion to be sucked into any real trouble, whilst others tell us we're only 6 points, 7 points, 8 points etc off the play offs with every passing week.
  16. Another game passes where we concede first and don't win, and do absolutely nothing in 4 minutes of injury time apart from a few non descript balls to no one.
  17. Our last injury time winner in the league was February 2017 under Coyle.
  18. Team will be interesting. Only certainty's are that Bennett, Downing, Armstrong & Dack will all play. Rothwell won't play, then the rest of the selection/formation will be anyones guess.
  19. Oh give over Chaddy stop being so naïve, Of course he had input in it.
  20. Exactly my thoughts and why I'm going really. As Stuart says, huge away followings need games that capture the imagination, all the novelty of the league one games captured that imagination, likely to win, new grounds for this generation etc. Preston away under Lambert, felt like something was happening with our first "real manager" for years. Preston away last season, we'd had a pretty decent start to the season and the spike from promotion season was still there. This season at Preston feels like when we went there under Coyle, think less than 3k went that day? We all know that we'll turn up, most players will be out of position, the same undroppable players will be playing, with the same bizarre tactics, we'll likely go a goal behind in 20 minutes and that will be that. As Matty says the club is in a huge rut, on and off the field.
  21. I want to know what happened to that Oldham right back, the one that was so good/dangerous that we had to play both Williams and Bell at home against them just to nullify him.
  22. It was a championship game against Leicester that he started, which we actually won! But yes the general point still remains. Very strange.
  23. Not surprising really is it, I saw a number of less than 1500 on Twitter earlier. Rovers fans are notoriously late at buying for local fixtures so obviously expect more than that will turn up in the end, but it just shows that the apathy from the owners/management/players has finally made it all way down to the away following, which up until now has held out pretty well since our third division season. No doubt it will turn into some Rovers fans slating our support though ?
