  1. I can see that Hull farce being a real momentum buster. That, along with all the freak results you tend to get at this time of the year makes me think we'll crash back down to earth tonight. Rovers 0 Barnsley 1
  2. Which means they will call it off at about 6pm tomorrow?
  3. To be fair there there's quite a few midweek slots in the EFL calender available to play the postponed games, especially after the last international break.
  4. Presuming seeing as there has been no further covid news in the past couple of days that everything is OK on the Hull side and that we're definitely on tomorrow?!
  5. May 29th is Play Off Final day. Town could be empty...
  6. To be fair you don't have to trudge down there on Christmas Eve to buy a ticket. Just ring the ticket office, pay for your tickets over the phone and collect from Hull on the day. Plus even if you did go down to get one, the shop is open Christmas Eve anyway to deal with anyone getting there last minute gifts, we're not paying somebody extra to be there to deal with the odd Hull ticket sale.
  7. Hull won't want to call this off if they can help it. In half decent form themselves, ticket offer to get a good gate, TV revenue from being selected on SKY. Think this will be on.
  8. Fulham's game on Boxing day is off, NOW we can go top with that 18-0 win...
  9. Scottish games are going to a 500 capacity from Boxing Day onwards, for at least 3 weeks.
  10. Yeah I wouldn't be going after Maja. I quite like that we have BBD, Gallagher, Dolan and Khadra competing for two places. Add Dack to that hopefully in the New Year. We desperately need a right back, can't be taking Buckley out of that midfield when Nyambe breaks down again, and JRC will never be fit.
  11. Again though, this makes no sense. Why not do it from Boxing Day to stop all those large crowds gathering if its such a concern?!
  12. Its until January 7th, you can bet it will go on longer though.
  13. Fulham play Birmingham on Boxing Day don't they? So we can't go joint top if they pick up at least a point. Its Bournemouth who play on the Monday.
  14. I think one thing you aren't understanding is, that it's not necessarily the sitting outdoors watching the football that is the main issue (although big gathering probably aren't ideal at the moment, and that's from somebody who really wants to keep going games!) Last time one of the main reasons was because it stopped thousands of people using public transport to get to the games every weekend, I'm sure that will play a factor if they decide to go down this route again. Yes I know you are triple jabbed and wear face masks etc, so please don't tell us all again!
  15. It's a last minute decision to show it on Sky as the main game, as the original televised game for that timeslot (Barnsley v Stoke) has been postponed. It was listed to be on the red button anyway though. Barnsley at home is classed as a "Bank Holiday fixture" so can only be shown on the red button if the home club agree to it. No suprise that we haven't, as never do for the bank holiday fixtures.
  16. I very much doubt it. He's a megastar in Chile, here he would be flavour of the month for a bit before having thw media tell us he shouldn't be anywhere the England squad (if he were to carry on scoring goals at the top level that is).
  17. If it was in September I would be inclined to agree. I think a 3 game bundle over Christmas though, when a lot of folk would be back in the area for Christmas, people maybe finished work for a couple of weeks, no worrying about schools so can take the kids the midweek one etc. Especially with the team flying so high I think it would have been worth considering. Think Ipswich have done £15 each or all three for £40.
  18. What makes me laugh is that Waggott said in the last fans forum that we couldn't do a ticket deal for the 3 Christmas fixtures as the EFL didn't like them and it was unfair on away fans paying full price etc. Yet Ipswich have done exactly that, and had just under 30k on against Sunderland. Why can they do it and we can't? Why do Ipswich want a full stadium and Rovers don't? Strange to me.
  19. This popped up on my twitter timeline today about clubs meeting on Monday to discuss a break until January 7th.. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/premier-league-covid-burnley-everton-22492086
  20. I think any game that can be on will be on this weekend. I just don't see an announcement calling off all festive football happening.
  21. Which could work, if he discovers a Bolivian uncle in the meantime.
