Games last longer than 15 minutes Chaddy. What about the 75 minutes after that? Hughton has previous recent promotions at this level, whether he is good enough for the top flight is another debate entirely, but he would be more than good enough for us, and probably a step up from Mowbray.

When you say Hughton plays negative/boring football, what brand do you think Mowbrays is? Hardly scintillating is it. It's just a load of slow, mundane passing until either Lenihan lumps it out of play or until Bennett plays a horrible overhit cross.

Take out that 15 min debacle at WBA, the other four games we have scored in first we have won, and all four games we have lost we have conceded first. We seem to be a very different side when we get in front, the likes of Cunningham, Downing, Johnson have definitely improved us in seeing games out, we just have very few ideas of how to get back into games when we go behind. No idea how this game will go, the only thing for certain is that there will be changes.

That statement is baffling. We were 7th come the end of January last season after 4 straight wins and our only business was to sign a player that Mowbray never had any intention of playing!

Without a doubt. I think we must have been able to secure the Chapman deal really cheap, with the intention of making a small profit on him at some point, I just can't see that he was bought here to be a regular in the side, Mowbray didn't fancy him in league one to start games, so he wasn't all of a sudden going to throw him in the side a level higher. Ironically I think if he had stayed at Middlesbrough that Woodgate would have given him more first team opportunities than he will get here, he must be absolutely kicking himself for signing for another under 23 side.

If our first team has Magloire, Grayson, Buckley & Butterworth as regular starters next season then I think it will be a right old struggle. Early days, but the signings of Cunningham, Johnson & Downing, and you might be able to put Holtby in there too have shown that a bit of experience and knowhow is exactly what this side has been missing.

A lot of clubs in the lower leagues do a flexi ticket now. Bet we haven't even thought of the idea.

I said at the start of the season that he was miles away from our matchday squad, and like you say he seems to be slipping further behind every week. I'd say he is behind Dack, Holtby, Armstrong, Downing, Rothwell, Buckley, probably Samuel and the way Mowbray has been talking him up this week, Butterworth at the moment.

Yes. I think he will go on to be a decent player at this level, but I can honestly say I haven't given Mahoney a second thought since he left. I don't think he had a touch when we played them the other week.

I think that's a knee jerk reaction to a few goals in U23's football to be honest. From what I have seen, he's nowhere near good enough for this level. I do think Mowbray will give him a chance to prove himself though at some stage.

With Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday games next week I can see most of our first choice 18 getting a start in those three games, think Downing will be rested for the midweek game myself.

Think Buckley is nearly 20 rather than being 18, but it's a fair comment that Mowbray has blooded him this season, he's done ok and shown a few flashes in his appearances up to now, but I still think a year playing every week in league one would have done him the world of good this season.

Remember him scoring a screamer against Chelsea at Ewood in around 97ish. Apart from that, was pretty non descript here I think.

I'd say Bradley Dack has been pretty instrumental for us in the past two and a bit years, wouldn't you? 100 games, 40 goals, less than a million quid.

That's exactly what will have happened. We are in the "me, me, me" era after all.

I still "expect" us to improve on last season, both in league position and points on the board. However, I still think we'll end up very similar to where we were last season in both league position and points gained, whilst two very welcome results in the past couple of weeks, I can't really get too carried away in beating Milwall and Reading. If we are still four points off top come Christmas then of course I might have different thoughts.
