  1. 1 - Anywhere there is a space 2 - 4, although Surprisingly Bennett has 9 assists in all competitions since promotion back to the championship, only bettered by Bradley Dack (13) & Adam Armstrong (12) 3 - 0 4 - 0
  2. After seeing Lowe and Evans stroll around our midfield for what seemed like decades, this guy was a breath of fresh air in our league one campaign, finally someone flying into tackles and showing a bit of urgency in midfield. Special mention for that winner at Fleetwood and that performance in goal at the hawthorns. He isn't quite upto it at this level, and should have gone 12 months ago in my opinion to play some football, but his contribution to the league one promotion shouldn't be overlooked.
  3. Whiteman won't happen. On Downing, like you say up until lockdown he was definitely worth another deal, looks to have been off the pace a bit since then though. It can easily happen to players of that age where there legs just seem to go overnight.
  4. That would be more ludicrous than the original HC.
  5. Think you have to take the opposition into account. Even Brereton scored against them! But yes, I'd certainly like to see more of him.
  6. If he goes 3 at the back you just know who is taking the right wing back role...
  7. I certainly agree that they don't make logical appointments. At the time when he joined I couldn't really separate Coyle from Mowbray, both seemed like desperate yesterdays men that were only hired because they had managed to get somebody promoted to the premier league in the past decade, they had also both made pig's ears of several of there previous jobs. Mowbray despite what people think of him now, has probably done better than anyone here expected when we joined, pure luck that he was a decent fit at the time. Of course now I wouldn't put Mowbray in Coyles bracket at all, but I still think that his time here has probably should come to an end.
  8. There was nothing logical about the Mowbray appointment at all, he had just gone 10 games without a win in the third division not long previously! As luck had it, he was a good fit for a while.
  9. This looks like a copy and paste job from last summer. You said then that he wasn't impressed with Tony & Steve and was signing for Hull because he liked Adkins. What happened?!
  10. Yeah, this is pretty much where I'm at with it all.
  11. Effective football. That's all I want to see from Rovers teams, effective football that gets results, not passing it sideways and backwards for 20 minutes without creating anything.
  12. You have to laugh at this, how can he expect consistency of players when his team selections, tactics/systems etc have no consistency what so ever? It starts at the top, and I would happily put my mortgage on whoever those players are that "can't deliver the consistency" he requires will still be plodding on next season, Bennett, Johnson, Gallagher, Bell, Holtby etc. Chapman, who I don't think is the answer to all our problems at all, but he came off the bench Saturday, showed some really nice pockets of skill and put in a sublime assist for the winner, yet doesn't get a look in, in a dead rubber where we are apparently chasing an equaliser, yet Bennett strolls on to do what exactly? Guessing it was for his appearance bonus. I haven't got it in me to wash my hands of it all like some have already said, certainly can drive you to the edge though!
  13. 70pts with a decent goal difference (that we had at one point) would have gotten us in the play off's this year. The lowest total for a while to finish 6th. Missed a big opportunity this season.
  14. The owners there have a brilliant connection to the fanbase, they offered refunds immediately when all this started, contrast that to our lot. The fanbase obviously want to help the club by committing to season tickets early to help them out.
  15. Surely you can see what a daft article it is though? Bennett makes mistake after mistake every week and is usually included in the starting 11.
  16. No chance, but Lenihan is only worth slightly more? So there is a chance that someone would pay more for Travis then Lenihan then?! Going back to a sale, Mowbray's recent comments point towards Nyambe being the likely one to be sacrificed I think, which would also let him give Bennett a full season at right back.
  17. I think at the moment he would definitely. That was the summer before our league one campaign, apart from that I haven't seen a sniff of interest in Lenihan since. He's one of our better players don't get me wrong but i'm not convinced he's good enough for the top flight.
  18. I presume you haven't been taking much notice of Mowbray in his time here? It's what he does!
  19. I'm guessing you don't want him because he played for Burnley?
  20. Shay Given was signed though wasn't he? Pretty sure he came up through Celtic's youth team.
  21. Why does Mowbray keep shoehorning Bennett in at most opportunities? Benson is probably here because like Bennett, he is probably a "good human".
  22. Yeah he's a good player. As said though, coming off a serious injury I'd be wary of him at the moment, I'm sure if our recruitment team are up to it we could find somebody just as good.
