  1. Yep, this isn't aimed at @only2garners at all it's just him who I quoted, but there are far too many goalkeeping experts everywhere that have never stood in a goal in there life and have no idea what it's like. There was a documentary on BT Sport called "The Special 1" about goalkeepers not that long ago, told from the eyes of goalkeepers who have experienced highs and low's, think Rob Green was heavily involved from memory. It's a really good watch.
  2. A goalkeepers job is to keep the ball out of the net by any means possible, sometimes they have to parry it out into the danger area, you are then relying on your defenders to react quicker than the forwards.
  3. Strong team for todays game with Toth, Duru, Mcfadzean, JRC, Buckley, Cozier-Duberry and Cantwell all starting.
  4. Yet you can't nip down and buy an away ticket from the ticket office. Ridiculous. Just on that, are the actual ticket office windows open during the week, or is everything done from the club shop? I was under the impression that they shut those ticket office windows (apart from matchdays) years ago, but that article reads like they are still open.
  5. Agreed, but again what's the point in having really cheap under 12's tickets if the adult can't afford there's to take them?
  6. I'm wondering if JRC will come back in against these, and revert back to what the front 4 was in the first few games. JRC Dolan Hedges Gueye He should be chomping at the bit surely.
  7. Haven't lost there since 2019!
  8. Can see another draw here. Going for 0-0 again.
  9. He didn't take to the Spanish league, fair enough. Players better than Ben Brereton Diaz have gone to foreign leagues and not settled. Gareth Bale once went 24 games without being on the winning side, doesn't really mean anything, He's played 4 games for his new team where his "current fanbase hate him". After his time here, you would think it wouldn't be so wise to make such a snap judgement at the start of one's career at a club, no? So no, doesn't look like his career is going down the drain at all to me.
  10. How? He moved to the top division in Spain from the second tier in England, then went on loan to the top flight in England, became his teams top goalscorer despite only playing 14 games, and off the back of that has got another move to another club in the Prem? How is his career quickly going down the drain?
  11. Can see the confusion, as the 02-03 game was on April 7th 2003, and the 03-04 game was on April 12th 2004. Scored 4 in both of them, both games were on Monday nights, and both were at Loftus Road!
  12. Presume this will be the same for Boxing day against Sunderland then? They will give it a good go filling the whole Darwen End for a Boxing day game I'm sure.
  13. If we did go up one day all those games would probably be 1230 Saturday or 2pm Sunday anyway for TV.
  14. If he's getting paid more and competing in better leagues, not really downhill is it? He was Sheffield Utd's top scorer last season despite only playing 14 games.
  15. Even Swansea/Cardiff kicked off at 3pm the other week. Yet Sunderland/Sheff Wed a few weeks back was a 12pm kick off. Not sure there is any logic behind anything they do.
  16. And that's if they even bother to run. Northern have been cancelling all Sunday services on a lot of there routes for months now.
  17. Cantwell looked miles off it to me in his cameo on Sat. No reason to rush him at the min, keep building those sub appearances for a few weeks and hopefully ready to really go after the next international break. Only one for me who's position might be under threat from Saturday is Baker who wasn't great, but was out of position to be fair.
  18. No reason to change the side for me. Gueye will be a good asset off the bench for this one. Think we win this 2-0.
  19. You must be new to the venkys era 😁
  20. Obviously not with the times but I still find it crazy that I wouldn't be able to pop to the ticket office before the game tomorrow and buy a ticket for the Preston game.
  21. Definitely one to bite us on the arse tomorrow looking at all the positivity. Bristol City decent record at Ewood winning 3 of the last 6 since we came back up to the Champ in 2018. Think we lose 1-0 in a really frustrating encounter to bring everyone back down to earth.
  22. Striker, winger (more specifically pace, as we have plenty of players who can play out wide but the problem is they are all slower than me), and a centre half is where we're a bit short for me.
  23. Stick that game at Villa Park or Elland Road or wherever really and there is an intensity about it. Matty is correct that the Wembley midweek games are as flat as an Ewood cup game in Mowbray's tenure.
