  1. It really is worrying thinking of the numbers that are actually going to go back after all this. I genuinely think Waggot thinks that everyone who had a ST last season will come flocking back when they can.
  2. I just posted in the football italia thread and it got me feeling all nostalgic. Early 90's when there wasn't that much coverage on TV and football wasn't in your face 24/7 I couldn't get enough of them, Match, WSC, 90 Minutes & a bit later FourFourTwo being my favourites, but in truth I would get anything I could get my hands on. I also remember my grandad showing me some shoot magazines that he had in his loft from the 70s around that time and thinking it looked like a completely different game. Did anyone else used to collect football magazines before football turned in the 24 hour a day news event that it seems to be now?
  3. Thought the one you were told about wasn't a defender though?
  4. Have to admit I'm not that fussed about being a guinea pig for the trial run, but how will they determine who can go to that game? First x amount of ST holders who buy presuming they go on sale next week? ST holders who only live within x miles of Ewood? I'm really considering what to do this year with a season ticket, with all the uncertainty, what the matchday experience will be like, the price rise etc. Be interesting to see how this trial goes if it happens.
  5. Or more likely it will just go towards running costs.
  6. First time I have seen that Garner goal against Liverpool in 83, cracking finish.
  7. It's actually on there, it's another £50 on whatever there half season ticket is for the remaining home games on ifollow, plus all midweek away games. We wouldn't even need anything like that though, as supply wont outstrip demand.
  8. Talking to some lads at work today who are Stoke season ticket holders and they pointed me in the direction of this, and there plans for next season. What are peoples thoughts on this? https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-season-ticket-streams-4490827
  9. Yeah I thought the same, everything about Sarr to me screams a league one Tosin, Hopefully we'll get someone back there who wants to defend first and foremost, and not somebody who looks pretty on the ball.
  10. At the moment with this squad, I'd predict anywhere between 15th-12th. Even if we're to sign a couple of good defenders before the window shuts, we still have to trust that Mowbray can organise and knit the team together to be better than midtable, which I'm not sure that he can.
  11. Thing is with those premier league clubs, the ST's will sell out straight away when they put them on sale. We don't have that luxury, we lose ST holders every year with nobody to replace them.
  12. Of course it was tounge in cheek, but the more I think about it I'm not sure. As long as we're plodding along 5 or 6 points off the play offs it seems like most of the match going fans will be happy, if we won the first 6 or 7 games or so before drifting off into Mowbray land of strange form there might be a bit more discontent when fans are allowed back in. It's been a weird set up here for the past 10 years, and hasn't really changed under Mowbray apart from him still having the goodwill of a third division promotion.
  13. Mowbray won't want a strong start as there will be some sort of pressure/expectation of keeping it up. If we start badly we can use the we're still looking for players etc excuse and then as we slowly drift up to mid table it will be widely lapped up as being 4,5,6,7 points off the play offs.
  14. Does this mean we'll finally start to play in blue and white again at Forest, Bristol etc or are we just going to stick the new logo on last year's third kit and be done with it?
  15. Won't be Hanley. Mowbray is prioritising someone who can pass the ball 20 yards back there rather than someone who can get there toe, head etc onto things and actually defend.
  16. Going off the past two January windows when we were in decent positions, I'd say not a chance we would do it.
  17. Weren't you also told recently that the club wouldn't be releasing season tickets this year?! Someone's having you on mate!
  18. Looks like another huge guilt trip is on the cards as well with the new tagline "We Are Together" (So if you don't buy anything as soon as they come on sale your not with us) Can see it now.
  19. A statement at least, looks like a price rise is coming... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/september/club-statement-we-are-together/
  20. "All bluebirds are blue" Looks like they asked Waggott for some marketing advice there.
  21. Think it was @J*B who said on this thread to do our bit and buy a shirt to help out our poor owners. Nearly a week on and still not a peep of when they are on sale.
  22. If Ayala couldn't agree terms at Boro I can't see him agreeing them here.
  23. Why get so defensive over him?! He could easily have been fed some duff information, which is what I was referring to by the way.
