The players are performing and they also put in a hell of a shift. However, it's a small, weak and inexperienced bunch who when coming up against a team of well drilled experienced journeymen will probably lose out most of the time. Amazing how people see different games. What I saw was a pretty spineless showing from Rovers again at Ewood. Easy to defend against, and can't deal with fairly simple balls in the box. Give me Prestons big, strong, physical, direct side over our bunch of spineless midget weaklings any day.

It's a while off yet but it's being changed from the 26-27 season. One international break in late September that covers 2 weekends instead of 1 where there will be 4 internationals, and then the standard ones in November and March that cover the usual 1 weekend and 2 internationals. So not much better really.

Plus there is prize money on offer in the cup. In the league it doesn't matter whether you finish 7th or 17th, there is no financial gain. With the state the club is in you would think that any cup games would be a priority.
