I was a little mystified by the yellow card on Roberts when he elbowed Neill. Surely if the ref thinks he has elbowed the player it is a red card, if he thinks it is not an intentional elbow then it should not warrent a card at all. very strange decision.

I think we will see a very different Man City team this weekend, which will make it a tricky game for spuds. City were publicly slated last week and pearce will really have them up for this game. Also don't think Arsenal will win this weekend. I was hoping for 4 points minimum return from Wigan and Pompey, just means we have to go there and win now.

Jan, was he 3.5m or 4m. I know it was undisclosed but I was under the impression he was 4m. I'd be more than happy to be wrong on this one. He's been a bargain. Benni is out of contract next year so could be a fairly cheap purchase. I'd imagine Porto would have to drop there asking price now. This reminds me of the time we went to West Ham after they hadn't won a home game all season, they eventually got relegated but still managed to beat us that night. I'd love us to win it, but I have grave concerns.... Sunderland have recently got rid of their manager and although there has not really been an upturn in performance I feel there will have to be one soon. I just hope it doesn't come against us.
