Old Peculiar, decent enough ale for Blues that (presuming it’s kept properly/turned over and not vinegar by the time you get it). -
The right hand side of the stand with the gantry (South Stand).

23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

I’ve given up on the reversed halves, the club obviously has (I’d say there’s no one left there making these decisions with any knowledge of the club’s heritage, but then they do like to keep crowbaring in the ‘Cambridge blue’ because of the 1880s). -

Lost a point for that crap home collar. -
Our Phil has always operated on a higher plane than the east Lancs troglodytes he left behind.

I’m looking forward to a season of shirts in the shop like at every other club. No running out in October, or before folk have a chance to buy them for Christmas presents like the past few years. Shouldn’t be a problem this time as there’s luckily no BB2 specific pandemics or BB2 specific Chinese factory issues or BB2 specific stuck tankers in the Suez Canal to worry about.

Fair enough, though a very early TV selection for a game in December.

Lip service form a corporate BS merchant of the highest order. His actual policies, not sound bites, have shown the exact opposite from day one.

If we (ever) get to the stage where we have 12000/13000+ ST holders again then why not. As you have more people who are in the habit of going on a regular basis, add that to those that always walk on, fancy a cheap day out etc and it’s very much possible. -

And that would be a cracking effort when you look at previous Ewood friendly crowds, and potentially achievable, it just threw me off a week or so ago when you were talking about 10,000, never in a million years is a friendly getting close to that. Good to know that the club is being sensible and 5k would be deemed a success all round (and hopefully lead to more of the same for a competitive game). -
Not necessarily Sky, could be a police request for a Sunday noon KO as there will be 7,000 of those dickheads to police… though obviously still a big chance it will be picked anyway as it is Sky Sports Leeds after all…
-
A load of those predicted positions are exactly where the respective teams spent a load of last season, so not exactly putting much thought into it when you consider how fluid a league this is with some teams coming from nowhere- I.e Cov, Sunderland etc, and some surprisingly struggling - Norwich, Watford.

Blackburn v Tottenham 1977/8 ticket needed
Mattyblue replied to CliffJ1952's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Aye, Windy. ’ALL TICKET’ was a sign of a really big game. -
Why are you surprised? It’s been obvious for years that the non big 3 boards are skint and as a result the franchise income of their players dwarfs what they get for playing Tests. Ergo they are playing the minimum. For all the publicity and excitement around BazBall and the Ashes, Test cricket is in big trouble worldwide.

So Ossy the eastern extremity of the John Bull… unless anyone can volunteer an Accy chippy?
-
Every summer was on Channel 4 (post BBC losing the rights), winter tours on Sky. The Oval 2005 was the last Test on Channel 4 before Sky took the lot.
-
Very Blackburn, not sure it even got as far as Accy. My local chippy back in the day at Four Lane Ends used to do one.
-
I’m telling you what was happening at this Test, I was there, as was the other Matt. A lack of portable toilets obviously wasn’t the ‘overwhelming experience’ I took from watching a cracking Test match, but 30 minute plus queues for the bogs was a poor look for such a marquee occasion. It’s called constructive criticism of a club you support, just like it is if there’s some issue at Ewood.
-
Difference being at OT there is an enormous temporary stand without the infrastructure to support it, ergo half an hour plus wait for blokes to go for a pee, I’ve never seen that apart from at a festival, certainly not at football grounds.
-
Trent Bridge is a lovely ground, OT is a total mish mash with facilities that can’t cope when it’s full.
-
They have 18,500 home fans in their hovel most weeks, so 👏 all round for such tremendous figures at a club that’s spent years in the PL with an odd season winning the division below. We have about 12/13,000 after a terrible decade. Maths also not a strong point over there.

‘This summer window is massive… err forget that all about January… err no big moves happen in January… NEXT summer is the one!’ ”This time next year Rodders…”
