  1. Then add Ribble Valley and Hyndburn to ours, so like you say, pointless.
  2. Exactly, this is by far the best place to chat re all things Rovers, a load of interesting posters and perspectives - what’s the alternative, trying to engage with halfwits on Facebook groups?
  3. To be fair to them they are still in their early bird period but I believe they are only expecting to sell c5k… I suppose keeping hold of STs is harder when they had an empty ground for years until recently.
  4. Get one of those filters in that turns it into something else when posted, ‘you cannot use that word’ etc - sure we used to have one for Ke*n.
  5. I’m massively positive about Blackburn Rovers so that’s why when the commercial operation lets the club down so badly it needs pointing out. Unlike you Doogs I don’t engage in ignorant wishful thinking when I know exactly the pattern STs get sold at clubs, I.e 90% at early bird prices, so not negative, not positive, mere facts - you also do now, so you won’t be surprised when we only sell a few hundred more by KO… just like last season and just like at every club that increases prices after early bird.
  6. I’ve never seen so few posts about the final on here… says it all.
  7. 🙄That silly barb again, usually used when an argument has been lost. And even more ironic considering how ‘negative’ you’ve been about our fanbase on this thread. So no, nothing to do with half empty/full glasses, it’s just a fact that the vast majority of STs (at all clubs) are sold at early bird prices. The fact you are ignorant of how STs actually sell at football clubs through the close season doesn’t make me ‘negative’.
  8. It isn’t a ‘start’ when we are through the early bird phase and prices have now been hiked by £50. 90% of STs that are going to be sold will have been sold already.
  9. These things are always a bit silly as large and increasing numbers of fanbases no longer live in the Borough a team is based in. But let’s pretend they do, those stats don’t even make sense, Blackpool and Preston Boroughs are the same population as BwD around 150k. 300k+ for Preston 😁 I know they think they are a mega city these days, but come on.
  10. I would imagine we’ll be second lowest crowd wise (after Rotherham) next season - this is in the second tier… imagine thinking we’d fall this far the day this lot bought the club.
  11. Don’t think ‘arithmetic’ really counts as opinion, but ok…
  12. ‘RFS’, ’Recoverite’ too. All dissolved now, aren’t they?
  13. So? Shrewsbury were close to us in L1 at one point, they just didn’t have the players to keep pace. That’s football, generally if you are chasing a side the bigger squads with the best players pull away in the end.
  14. Swag ‘won’t won’t to bother them’ as I’ve read variations of a theme of in the FF minutes over the years.
  15. ‘EPL’ 😁 Any excuse to shoehorn it in…
  16. It was epic. Slagged us all of as know nowts, a screen grab of some ripped bloke from Google images masquerading as him, he outlined his ‘6 per cent body fat’, his PhD and all manner of other fitness related qualifications (which is odd as he ‘wasn’t a guru’ the other day). I’m not doing it justice… bring it back, Mods!
  17. As there’s no Burnley away ticket panic to take advantage of this time I imagine we won’t be seeing 1875 club this coming season… his money grabbing schemes really are that transparent.
  18. Ha what did you delete Ulrich’s epic farewell post for 😁
  19. Attendances are absolutely booming in this country… with an odd exception, of course.
  20. You’ll be easy to spot at Ewood next season…
  21. What the bloody hell has that got to do with anything? Will we be given a bigger transfer and wage budget by the EFL due to us being a historic club?
  22. Love the optimism, Phil, but unfortunately we just haven’t got the players for the top two - and the sell to buy budget of this summer tells me we won’t have the players by the close of the window either…
  23. Not as simple as that at all, as the last two seasons have shown, we’ve spent pretty much two seasons in the top 6, yet home numbers have still struggled to move at all before the run in and even then we’ve struggled to get over 14k or so home fans in - why? because we’ve only had 7-9k ST holders. However, you reduce prices of STs, crowds are inflated for the entire season, regardless of League position as your base support in the ground is now higher - as repeatedly shown elsewhere. So if you now you have those inflated ST numbers AND you are at the top end of the table, suddenly you see *big* crowds again in the run-in as increased walk ons add to an already increased ST base. If we went up, it’s a totally different issue as we’d be selling a shed load of STs anyway, so crowds go up by a shed load - it’s as simple as that.
  24. SEVEN! 🎉 ‘The purchase rate is the best in five years’ - Swag’s letter to Glen.
