He’s back with the ‘little owd Burnley’ , ‘how can we possibly compete with the likes of Luton, Bournemouth, Sheff United et al’ routine already, despite looking like being close to spending £100million by the close of the window… just nine months of it to go 🙄

You got spanked 3-0, had a lighter chucked at a player, another fan tried to run on the pitch to attack a City player and you had a bloke sent off for a horrible tackle… but apart from that you were absolutely amazing 🤩

Unfortunately they aren’t going any time soon ever, at least there’s a chance Swag fecks off over this decade.

End of the day not a lot will change im the short/medium term, we are in a holding pattern until we get a CEO with a new approach.

Brighton have a huge and affluent catchment area, they spent a fair bit of time in the 80s in the top flight and generally have had a lot of time in the second tier. Now Bournemouth and Brentford you can make a case for being historically third/fourth tier clubs with not much in the way of achievement or fanbases… but it’s a bit silly tarring Brighton with them.

Higher than most of their PL seasons, yet some Rovers fans still try to argue that lowering prices uniquely won’t work here, despite it working a treat to the west and south of us…

I thought the fanbase growing rapidly was bloody fantastic. Ewood Park packed to the rafters, shirts everywhere, BRFC back in its rightful place at the top table of English football… but each to their own 🤷‍♂️

Actually a decent bit higher since JDT came in (fans are canny, they know when a manager is arsed about it), 6k for consecutive League Cup first rounds, highest FA Cup 3rd round last season for donkeys years. Similar or indeed a higher gate than many similar sized clubs last night… yet still folk slag off our support.

Of course it was a decent turnout in *the context* of the League Cup first round.
