  1. Certainly after these cloggers!
  2. Only two hours to go, roverandout, you can do it!
  3. We may well have gone down at some point, the Ince incident was evidence that mistakes can be made and they can almost be fatal for club’s our size (though JW quickly got the clown out the door and replaced with a proper manager). Difference being if the worst had happened under the JW regime, the parachute money would not have been pissed up the wall and half the ST holder base would not have disappeared overnight. We are still suffering due to the ridiculous and arrogant decision making (oh sorry, ‘naive’) made between 2010 and 2012.
  4. I get it, I was there. But what’s this got to do with Ennis? Who we pining for instead?
  5. So? I agree with you that he wasn’t a ‘popular’ signing’. My point is why would he have been? He was a cheap unknown. Ergo I’m not sure what your point is.
  6. It didn’t ‘divide the fans’ as nobody knew owt about him to start with. So of course it wasn’t a particular ‘popular’ signing. Just a bit of a pointless debate you’ve started.
  7. Luton are a good club, decent sized fanbase (hidden by the fact that their ground is so small), they’ve won a major trophy in the past, spent a fair bit of time in the top flight, they aren’t anything like a Bournemouth that actually came from nowhere.
  8. Course it is, all the way back to ‘92. I said ‘traditional’, not every time.
  9. I was responding to Phil that said he was ‘released’. Just not having that the fanbase was angry about a bloke with a shed load of caps for Turkey arriving. Not exactly a marquee signing like Cole, but most fans were just a bit non plussed - just like when Brad came in.
  10. He was only here on loan.
  11. I can understand why they didn’t have the Championship one today as they probably didn’t want to put it up against the PL final day, but why Saturday and not the traditional Monday I’m not sure.
  12. Hmm, not sure I agree on the Uhlsport one, but then I suppose we did get relegated in it, so maybe that’s clouded me. Early/mid 90s Asics, great, but the later away shirts were a bit naff too - the luminous yellow one, that orange one. Whereas I thought all the Kappa home shirts in particular were great. But it’s all a personal thing.
  13. Of course I love the Asics shirts, but I reckon if we’d have had the Kappa kits in the 90s instead it would be them that’d now be seen as sacred.
  14. Were the kits themselves ‘magnificent’ or were they just by association due to a great team and memories?
  15. So? This fella actually won them taking them from 9th to 3rd in the process. Obviously Jones set the foundations (with the club generally doing a lot right over the last decade), but *all* the credit is Jones’? Just a daft statement.
  16. Obviously *all* the credit doesn’t go to Jones considering he left them in November (sat 9th in the table).
  17. Why would it have been? A fairly unknown foreign player who’d briefly been at Rangers signed for a relatively small fee wasn’t going to get the fanbase buzzing - but it wasn’t ‘unpopular’ either.
  18. Bournemouth and Luton - 10k PL crowds, Brentford - 17k PL crowds. The Premier League isn’t some mythical far off land, it’s as achievable as ever for all kinds of clubs, you just need to be well run on and off the pitch…
  19. Don’t they know 2 up front is ‘dinosaur tactics’?
  20. I wonder how many ‘Originals’ games will start at 12.30pm on a weekday afternoon?
  21. Do they have Sky Sports on in Dubai beach clubs?
  22. It will have got more ‘impressions on the socials’ or whatever it is than just an announcement - and that’s what presumably the social media team are judged on. All a bit cringe, but it’s the modern world.
  23. Why would it be any different than every other season?
