It’s the way this club is operated. Have a look at the latest Fans Forum minutes as proof of that. Tony Parkes tribute? Still being ‘looked into’ four years later. Engaging fans in outlying areas? The FF members themselves have to do the donkey work. So of course matchday initiatives have to be sorted by fans too. Some number they have down there… -

Well we played this exact opposition in 2016 and there was a crowd of 2,100. So if double turn out this time, ergo it must be deemed a success. -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach

He’s one of those pub bores, I imagine; ‘well acthhhully…’ -
Pretty sure that never happened and why would it. He was a 21 year old who’d just made 31 appearances the previous season in the Dutch top flight and cup (and was on the bench for all other games, so missed zero games through injury), so why would he be written off as a ‘total crock’?

They’re good at that!

There’s barely enough toilets without the scaffolding stand, ridiculous when it’s up. About 10 extra portable loos with 15 minute queues even during the sessions. Dread to think at the intervals.

With 7,000 seats at £45? No chance.

Cheers Willy, nicer send off than the missus gave me. 😁

They’ve accepted that Crawley will have a fair few poor innings as around the corner is a match winning one. Playing the percentages and all that, Baz and Stokes are obviously more data driven than they let on! I’m off there shortly… at least I chose Friday, Saturdays forecast! 😩

Hope you’re right, I can see 3/4k or so, which is plenty when you look at previous Ewood friendlies. -
23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

Birdy will, Chadster, that bloke on the FF that is obsessed with player postcards. -
You have to post it on the non football board, the thread was moved there, not very progressive of the Mods, is it! 😁

That’s always been the rationale, not much of a secret, they’ve just never been particularly arsed in getting round to it. Maybe if they had we wouldn’t have had this debacle of a decade. -
Yeah waste of time, I mean what has the Academy ever done for us, well apart from Wharton, Wharton, Travis, Carter, Buckley, Rankin-Costello, as regulars err, right now…
-
Not sure about that, only one Test and Trent Bridge (smallest of the remaining Test grounds) was not close to full on any of the days, whereas they were hitting 20k crowds for some of the limited order games. Obviously there is a place for a Test, but it won’t be mirroring the men’s format any time soon.

So the club has got stock orders wrong in previous seasons then? You’ve changed your tune, how odd… -
This is brilliant marketing
Mattyblue replied to philipl's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
Isn’t that skewed by those big one off crowds where they market the hell out of it make it a quid entry etc at the men’s ground? All conquering Chelsea get around 2/3k for most home games, other WSL clubs in the hundreds, very low considering the profile of the game these days. Shows that the club game hasn’t particularly taken off, maybe a WC win will change that.
