  1. You don’t post like it! 😁
  2. An element of it is Rovers Derangement Syndrome going back to the 90s, PNE fans also carry it (obviously in a less Neanderthal-ic manner).
  3. Still need explaining how not giving an away side a vast allocation (so we are not like a lower league club in a cup tie after a pay day) is ‘small time’, ‘tinpot’. Rules say 2k, here’s your 2k. Case closed. *I know you will all be reading this on UTC, so if you want to give us an explanation in one of your 8 threads on the matter*
  4. I was over it about 30 seconds after the whistle…
  5. It’s probably a re-purposed ‘Jack in a Box’ flag. Toe-curlingly pathetic.
  6. I imagine we’ll be not far off selling out, we had close to that for a Friday night Sky game at Stoke. The initial strike will have put folk off. And now the trains have shot up.
  7. Indeed. Now offers don’t bother me as a ST holder one bit, we’ve swathes of empty seats to fill. Obviously the reason we have so many in the first place is the fact our eye watering prices means we’ve a pitifully low number of ST holders. However, I imagine some ST holders will be annoyed when forking out £400-£530 for a ST, as at those price points it can quickly lose its hefty built in discount over being a walk on, especially if you miss a few anyway and then there’s 4/5 offers put on. So as Mike says, maybe don’t have some of the most expensive STs in the league then, and then the balance between ST holder value and attracting walk-ons isn’t an issue…
  8. Let’s not… then you did 😁
  9. Fair enough, had to do something. Christ knows what kind of turn out we’ll get for such a ridiculous time.
  10. Since the restart on 10th December, I think we’ve been shown/chosen as a ‘main’ Sky Sports game 14 times (obviously that could end up as 16 if Luton and Millwall get picked) in 25 games. 17 (possibly 19 by the end of the season) on Sky out of 25 if you include red button. Unheard of for a team that’s largely spent the season pretty much out of contention for automatic promotion.
  11. Especially when three out of the five are night games on Sky.
  12. Agreed, @Sweaty Gussets Only 19 home games in the PL, so absolutely no need to price STs at extortionate levels, especially with vast TV incomes. So get them priced at an enticing level and with all the momentum and joy around the club post a promotion you’d sell a shed load. … but yeah it will be £600 from Swag.
  13. With only 2k away fans and 9k ST holders, it’s going to be a bloody big job to even get close to c18k if they set it at Cat A (£30-£35 )for a midweek Sky game. Folk will be tuning in going ‘eh? Thought this was a big Derby? And they are both flying’. Of course what they should do is set ‘members pricing’, ‘join 1875 and get your ticket for £20’ etc… alas they won’t.
  14. The cost of living crisis doesn’t seem to be impacting the rest of football, English crowds are booming. It’s a decade of chronic mismanagement and piss poor commercial nous specifically at this club that has seen our crowds stuck at such low levels.
  15. They are up from the lowest of low ebbs post Covid, but 9,000 is still one of the lowest sales figures we’ve had for over 30 years (and some of the lowest in the divisIon). Attendances are booming across England… said boom has passed us by. Vast improvement is needed for a club that has spent pretty much two seasons at the top end of the table.
  16. The ‘Green Weekend’ or whatever it was the other week made me laugh. ’Liverpool are fully behind this Premier League initiative’ (after just taking a private jet for about a 100 miles).
  17. Football side? Best it’s been in a decade. Commerical side? As poor as it’s been in a decade.
  18. Totally missed this thread (which is odd considering how much I’m on this place 😁). If you do do another order 👋
  19. ⬆️This is what we should do. ‘Blackburn Rovers have confirmed they will be closing the Riverside Stand at Ewood Park’ ⬆️This is what we will do
  20. Far too much brainpower needed for Dingles that!
  21. Shame it’s overgrown or they’d by tarmacing Manxman hill too…
  22. ‘Tin pot mentality’ according to their forum. Surely giving away teams 7,000+ tickets purely for a payday is much more small time/lower league. Big game, so maximising home advantage, fair enough.
  23. Yet amazingly they couldn’t get the bulldozers in at Brockhall quick enough…
  24. To be fair they did for Leicester tickets and Sheff Utd coaches…
  25. 1) Anfield ‘95 2) Would love to have been around in the late 50s/early 60s when provincial/town clubs would mix it (and often have the better of) with the big city clubs at the top of the old first division.
