Because it’s mentality, much harder to ‘coach’ than drilling tactical shape into them… -

I honestly think it was just a mangled Chaddy sentence. Sky commentators say pretty much every time we’re on that there is no expectation of promotion on JDT from the club. -

Of course the Blackburn End will be close to doing. There’s only the first few rows of some blocks left, and that’s before match day sales. -

JW and Riverside comfortably the fullest they’ve looked all season… and that’s with 24 hours to go. BEnd will be sold out by KO. Seems a well received enough promotion to me. -

JDT has guided a so-so bunch to the top end of the table, ergo he’ll be in a strong position at the club and with the players, so I doubt he’d worry about ‘surviving’ dropping a run of the mill second tier player like Travis. -

£19 in November isn’t a tenner in May, so of course there’s plenty of gaps , there’s 20,000 seats in the open home sections and we only have 8,700 ST holders so that’s a hell of a lot of tickets to sell. However, the JW and Riverside are certainly busier than normal on the Thursday before a game, so it will be a decent enough gate. -

Think he means the opposite, I’m pretty sure Sky have said a few times on comms that the club doesn’t expect an immediate promotion. -

Sacked? No chance, TM’s horror runs never had him close to it, so a few shocking away performances for JDT certainly won’t have him for the chopping block… -

‘Absolutely terrible fans’, ‘all this moaning about prices and it was still half empty’. ‘They’ve done all they can, make it £30 from now on’. Not realising, of course, that say, 14k home fans is more than respectable when you only have 8,700 ST holders. -

Oh there is looking at the map. My point is more re those expecting an Oxford style crowd for a game in November at double the price of that fabled match (though that is what I’ve read from plenty on other SM, not particularly on here). -

It’s cheaper. The point is it’s not markedly cheaper than a lot of other games, so it won’t lead to some huge crowd on a cold and wet November day. But as long as the ground feels busier than normal, which it will, then all good. -

It’s a whole quid cheaper than what we charge for a night game. Of course it’s good to see a sensible price for a Saturday match for once, and we will see a decent enough gate as a result, but it isn’t a mega discounted price that would see a massive uplift on normal. -

Any chance you could do a similar stat for previous seasons? Midweek aways have felt like a write off for years! -
Their release was perfectly timed for a good take up last season, put on sale just as we embarked on that charge up the table… let’s hope they don’t coincide with the opposite this time!

We’ve lost every single red button away game since it was introduced. -

You hardly go to away games so obviously it doesn’t impact you, you can nicely settle down to watch it on your sofa, so what’s the problem? But guess what, it is an inconvenience to those that spend every other weekend travelling the country supporting their club and spending good money, I.e those Cardiff fans that now have to be up at 5am on NYD. How about thinking of those that show such commitment for their club for one millisecond? Yes, ‘it is how it is’, but because it has been ‘like this for years’ doesn’t automatically make it right and mean the loyalty of football fans is not being exploited. -
If they are a loanee it is a purely short term transactional relationship for both sides. Harvey Elliott and Morton, helping us to win football matches, whilst getting to develop as players, which is for the benefit of their parent club. Win, win. Whereas Clarkson, he wasn’t up to it, so he went back, no hard feelings, but that’s the name of the game with loanees, so if Hurst can’t step up soon, then why waste everybody’s time?
