  1. Bloody hell Longers, not sure why this needs explaining to you, but here goes. It’s all very well for a parachute club with a load of quality footballers for this level to play that way. But for a club with Wigan’s players who are trying to avoid relegation?
  2. Another manager coming into the Championship and forgetting that he’s no longer coaching top level footballers…
  3. We never sell tickets in any number for standard cup ties (and they are pretty much always priced at £10-£12), especially not midweek just before Christmas. Indeed I’ve seen many a similar crowds for later rounds then this (c7.5k home fans for an FA Cup Quarter Final springs to mind). No idea why this has become some hand wringing issue across social media. It’s a Carabao Cup 4th round against Forest, not a semi-final against Liverpool. So this means bugger all either way re the real issue - the need for cheaper STs.
  4. Always a catch with every initiative they try and then it’s head scratching time when it fails.
  5. There is a difference between being upset, which we all had a right to be after two such horrendous performances and actually contemplating sacking a bloke, that in his first season has a non-parachute club with a middling budget 3rd in the table at Christmas. (Obviously virtually nobody is contemplating it away from social media).
  6. It is what it is. If we stay towards the top we will be on a hell of a lot by May. ‘Those who pay the piper’ and all that. It’s the disregard for fans re timings that annoys me. Rovers v Cardiff on NYD at noon, ridiculous for any travelling fan and there could easily have been a different slot found over the festive period, but that wouldn’t even have been a consideration by the broadcaster for a second. Though some of the blame has to be on the EFL for even scheduling such fixtures on a festive bank holiday. It should be local/local-ish fixtures only like it used to be. So Lancs/Yorks fixtures for clubs around here and then if chosen for TV it wouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience.
  7. These ‘logistical problems’ that only impact deliveries to BB2…
  8. ‘99 keeps on trying! 😁
  9. Not a chance anything more than a tiny percentage of the support want him gone. Need to remember that online forums in the aftermaths of bad defeats are extremely reactionary and in no way represent actual fanbases.
  10. Good lad! An afternoon with King Ally!
  11. You are missing the point again. Of course everybody knows why games get moved, but that doesn’t mean that match going fans, especially the travelling support are not massively inconvenienced by it.
  12. Very bitter lad you, roverandout 😁
  13. But they will have won the thing. People say that about England when they play a lot of average sides and still get knocked out…
  14. Knowing I’m the only person in the country watching the final on ITV.
  15. Nobody is asking you to explain your private reasons, it’s you that keeps bringing it up!
  16. There’s already somebody on here with that username, no wonder Chaddy’s confused… looked like a Vinjay-esque conversion!
  17. Could go either way still… https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/150670-should-dean-smith-be-sacked-in-the-morning-poll/
  18. The lad is 26, still at Leicester City, has one cap and hasn’t ‘had the chance to play for a big club’ because none of them have gone and bought him. Whereas the other fella has spent a career at the very highest level, has 116 caps and is vying with Mbappe to be the player of the World Cup. Doesn’t look like the same toolbox to me…
  19. The last fella was Teflon Tony after the L1 promotion. Very few grumbles even after horror run #6. JDT won’t get the same courtesy, I can spot the signs of a crowd not far from turning already.
  20. Only XL+ sizes for the home and away shirts from what I can see?
  21. He’s a decent enough second tier forward… though I suppose after a decade of watching a right load of old shite come and go at this diminished club he might as well be labelled as a ‘very good player’.
  22. Letting the only back up keeper with any first team experience go obviously says a lot about JDT’s view on that jobs for the boys signing…
  23. I’m not too fussed about it. It’s round four against a middling opposition, not the semi final, on a midweek just before Christmas. Fairly standard to sell bugger all. But of course, that LT story will now see a week of hand wringing and ‘shit are Rovers fans’ posts all over social media.
