We never sell tickets in any number for standard cup ties (and they are pretty much always priced at £10-£12), especially not midweek just before Christmas. Indeed I’ve seen many a similar crowds for later rounds then this (c7.5k home fans for an FA Cup Quarter Final springs to mind). No idea why this has become some hand wringing issue across social media. It’s a Carabao Cup 4th round against Forest, not a semi-final against Liverpool. So this means bugger all either way re the real issue - the need for cheaper STs.

Though some of the blame has to be on the EFL for even scheduling such fixtures on a festive bank holiday. It should be local/local-ish fixtures only like it used to be. So Lancs/Yorks fixtures for clubs around here and then if chosen for TV it wouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience.

The lad is 26, still at Leicester City, has one cap and hasn’t ‘had the chance to play for a big club’ because none of them have gone and bought him. Whereas the other fella has spent a career at the very highest level, has 116 caps and is vying with Mbappe to be the player of the World Cup. Doesn’t look like the same toolbox to me…

The last fella was Teflon Tony after the L1 promotion. Very few grumbles even after horror run #6. JDT won’t get the same courtesy, I can spot the signs of a crowd not far from turning already.
