  1. The only club in the country to scrap season tickets and concession tickets (and their crowds obviously collapsed accordingly) and we go and headhunt their head of commercial! A club with a death wish…
  2. We’ve been hearing that exact line from a boatload of folk since 2012 and we are as far away as ever. It’s just platitudes and I’m not sure why anybody would take any notice either way, he’s not exactly going to say ‘yeah we just plan to carry on bobbing about in Championship mid table’. But now the standard boilerplate statement’s out the way, he can now just get on with the job and let results speak for themselves.
  3. Why? What is it achieving when fans, managers and players are only interested in the WC and Euros?
  4. So why hasn’t such an incompetent individual (nefarious too, as he wanted to flatten Brockhall) been sacked?
  5. So his own weak parenting in letting his son support Arsenal because of bloody YouTube has led him to the conclusion that no kids want to watch football? And he’s head of commercial?! Heartbreaking to see the club of Jack and John Williams descend into this utter shambles.
  6. Pretty sure Mark is right in that they always take them off sale for a bit post claim your seat deadline.
  7. 7,300 as per the FF minutes, 6k sounds about right for this time. That would be just the two thirds down from where we were when this lot darkened our doors 12 years ago.
  8. The club that actually scrapped season tickets and concession pricing, so makes sense….
  9. The main difference this time is because the likes of Bolton and PNE have offered very competitive deals, even a lot of the social media uber fans have realised that the pricing here is absolutely ridiculous. The Swag spin on this one will be a laugh (that’s if he even emerges from his bunker).
  10. Let me get this straight, the Head of Commercial at a football club, thinks there is ‘nothing special’ about the club he is bloody lucky to have a senior role in, the most successful town club in the country no less, founder members of the FL and PL etc etc. He also thinks kids aren’t interested in going to matches, but are more interested in that new pyramid scheme known as NFTs. Those that do go, once they’ve sold their ape on Twitter, presumably, he wants to charge full whack to at 5 years old. He also thinks fans won’t go to games at all in the near future… The total farce that has been the last two summers of ST sales now makes perfect sense… ‘if only we had a clue’, ay!
  11. Yet it is us mere mortals they then get all arsey with for merely questioning when these changes are ever going to occur, instead of turning their frustration to those leading them on down Ewood…
  12. End of the day international football has been based on a four year cycle of the World Cup and Euros for decades. UEFA can feel free to invent a convoluted completion and say it’s ‘competitive’ all they want, but if players and fans don’t buy it then they will be treated like glorified friendlies, especially when you try and cram in a load of fixtures when said players and fans have switched off in the middle of June.
  13. Me neither. Why would it?
  14. So Preston North End have (probably) sold at least double the STs of Blackburn Rovers, imagine ever saying that. And a certain poster actually has the gall to call us all ‘clueless’ with a straight face, as the evidence of the enormous hole the club is in commercially is there for all to see…
  15. Difference being, last year folk weren’t then charged an extra premium post mid June so sales would’ve carried on steadily to KO. This year I imagine they will now dry up to a trickle.
  16. Though even 1864 has admitted STs are not going well, so things must be even worse than I thought on that score…
  17. Paul Ince is another, as is Berg. Just actual Rovers points of reference.
  18. They obviously brainstormed (ha!) that slogan months ago and are going to do it to death on social media instead of any other marketing or, you know, competitive pricing.
  19. Good footballers don’t necessarily make good managers, so it’s pointless bringing up their trophies etc won as a player, pretty simple point, no?
  20. Indeed. It makes absolutely no sense, surely every business wants to grow, so why on Earth would a company with a declining customer base, a base that is now at its lowest for decades, look to financially penalise all potential new or returning customers? Business plan of the mad house.
  21. We’ve only signed one permanent centre half in four years, Only paid a fee for one In *EIGHT* years! Some set up this and the new fella comes in spouting the old ‘the owners want sustainable Premier League football’ line. Fantasy land stuff.
