  1. They may have started as a bit of a fairytale under Howe, but they aren’t ‘punching above their weight’ anymore as they are bankrolled by an oligarch and further financially doped by parachute payments. They’ve numerous players on between £40k and £60k a week…
  2. I imagine they won’t send more small batches at this stage, so presumably they’ll let them pay on the day. They can’t go up now on Saturday, so I doubt there will be a stampede to the away ticket office…
  3. ‘They’re on their way!’
  4. Difficult because about half of St Andrews is closed on safety grounds…
  5. Looks to be selling well in the BEnd Lower and Jack Walker… so surely the same mistake won’t be made as Oxford, and ST info will be handed out to every match ticket buyer?
  6. Birdy could have with Ewood Blues, he’s usually in the Fox & Hounds before home games taking bookings. The Observatory usually put a coach on. Spinners in Darwen possibly? Some of our resident Darreners may know of others Darwen pubs?
  7. See, never in doubt… but wait a minute, that means Saturday isn’t a dead rubber now 😩
  8. I agree, he’s also a very, very bad loser. Aren’t we all? But we are fans, not professionals. His body language and attitude is absolutely shocking towards his players every time we go on a bad run… but he was back to being their proud dad/grandad on his Sky interview last night. He needs to grow up.
  9. Of course results are down to the manager, however as he should’ve long gone, it’s ultimately down to the owners. That’s how football works (well apart from here).
  10. And that’s TM’s fault how? It is all on the owners’ for letting this drag on, but they are Rev’s blind spot, so just put it all on some mediocre bloke from Teesside instead…
  11. From a solid PL club to ‘near the top of the Championship’… all in just 18 months, who needs five years, ay!
  12. No Rev, I just see a bloke long past his sell by date stinking the place out, and guess what? It’s not those devious characters Venus or Waggot or TM himself that have let it drag out this far… it is your beloved owners.
  13. Players always do this, Kean got full throated backing from players in the press to the bitter end…
  14. You said he was worse than Kean, so if anybody needs to explain…
  15. TM is not and has never been close to Kean. Absolute nonsense and you all need to get a grip. It’s threads like this that honestly make me think about knocking this place on the head. Can’t believe what I’m reading (well I can, that’s the problem).
  16. Then you have a very short memory. Absolutely ridiculous.
  17. Rev, can’t believe what I’m reading. You are making out that Kean (yes, Kean!) was just a here today, gone tomorrow manager, yeah bit shit, but no harm done… whilst it’s TM that is actually the nefarious character involved in all kind of schemes. You and a few others have completely lost the plot and all perspective when it comes to Mowbray and that post and the attempt to airbrush those utterly disgraceful and ruinous few years is a prime example of it.
  18. Multi ball system? We’ve got FFP to think about!
  19. Richie Smallwood, Amari Bell all doing well, anyone would think we aren’t a well coached team…
  20. Narrator: ‘There were actually just two’ (Greer and Wes Brown)
  21. This is his demeanour, his body language, his shoulder shrugging every time we go on a bad run, he’s a thin skinned, petulant bugger. He was a busted flush last season, we went on another horrendous death spiral, his job wasn’t remotely on the line. If he still had a year left on his deal, he’d be here next season, regardless of this disaster since January. The only difference is a new deal has to be offered, which would not be happening at a normal club, but this is Venky World…
  22. TM himself. From the LT article… “I’ve talked through the scenario. The owners are pretty adamant that Joe Rothwell isn’t getting sold. The slight grey area is that we could add two 23 or 24-year-old players who were two really talented players in this league, why wouldn’t we do it now? “Why would we not use the Rothwell money for two 23-year-old footballers who are really good and give them five-year contracts and you’re making the squad better, in place of a lad who wants to go somewhere else. “But at the same time I understand it’s difficult for the owners to accept money for one of our better players while we’re doing so well.” https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19885006.blackburn-rovers-owners-venkys-standing-firm-joe-rothwell/
  23. In what way is his demeanour any different from this time last season?
  24. Well an unexpected away day on the ale around Liverpool is on the cards…
