  1. But then we usually win games at the end of the season as they are dead rubbers, TM mind game masterclass!
  2. We all know we need to grow our ST base, the waxing and waning of STs sold directly impacts our crowds. So if you a non ST holder, what’s the offer to watch a mediocre second division side currently at a real low ebb, in the midst of an inflation crisis in a pretty deprived part of the country? £430 to £530, some of the most expensive pricing in the league, certainly at entry point. Absolutely ridiculous, a club completely out of touch with its own fanbase and demographics from the top down. Let’s hope there’s a fanbase left by the time they all finally feck off.
  3. I see the new narrative on their forum is that we were giving it the big ‘un as ‘they were promoted in January’. They obviously don’t actually know any Rovers fans, despite all these Plastics polluting their PR postcodes, as I’m not sure I met a single fan that was particularly confident about top two… but must say that most didn’t expect to finish 12th, mind…
  4. Despite everything surrounding him and his performances since January, he got a very decent reception when warming up down the touch line last Saturday… that ‘negative’ Ewood strikes again.
  5. Personally since the dawn of social media, I’d say St George’s Day now has a bigger profile than ever, it wasn’t a thing, at all, a few years ago, I’m not sure I even knew what date it fell on. But until you make it a bank holiday (like St Andrew’s Day in Scotland) or get it co-opted by one of the world’s biggest drink brands, it will also be quite low key.
  6. It’s took some doing that in less than three months. Bravo 👏 to all involved…
  7. Considering the horror run and the fact it was moved for TV on a Monday night, that’s a decent enough following, I’ve known us take around that on a Saturday before.
  8. Yes, he could get forward, he could actually pass a football.
  9. He must be one of them in the Blackburn End that has an encyclopaedic knowledge of ex Burnley players. ’Booooooo!’ ’Why you booing him?’ ’He played half an hour as a sub on loan there in 2012’ ’Oh’.
  10. Not sure Travis has particularly improved over the past couple of years. He’s now just a spoiler, whereas he used to have a fair bit more to his game.
  11. What is this obsession you have with players wanting away because they are ‘looking to go down south’ ? First Rothwell, a Manc who’s spent a couple of years at most in his life away from the north west. Now Nyambe, who sees himself as a Manc after living there from being about nine years old. They’ll go wherever the big contract is, and it ain’t here.
  12. Dyche has a top reputation in the game, is he buggery going to turn up at a QPR.
  13. Will they? Why? They knew keeping Kean on would collapse sales in the summer of 2012, they kept him on. They knew appointing Coyle would further collapse sales, they appointed him. This is not a normal football club where things like, you know, results and crowds matter.
  14. Why would nobody buying one make them get shut? 12 years of this says they don’t give a flying f*ck what the fans think or do…
  15. Yep, first time I’ve ever received a text from them, real multi platform marketing this… though of course a desperation letter ‘from Dack’ will also be dropping through folks’ letterboxes when the club starts panicking re dismal sales with a few weeks to go.
  16. And I’m part of one contributors family… which is nice.
  17. Disagree on the age thing, plenty of older match going fans are now also very pro Rao, but of course many anti-Venky supporters have walked away leaving a much more subdued core.
  18. What’s 8 years too late? Think you got the wrong end of the stick with my post. My point was that the fans were against these owners pretty much as soon as they came in, and remained so, until L1. It is only since that second relegation that the majority of the fanbase has done a complete 180 on the owners, be that because of the fear of administration, being stuck in L1, BOLTON, who knows why, but it’s now rare to hear any dissenting voices away from brfcs…
  19. Thing is the fans did realise just that a few years ago… then we went down to L1, similar sized clubs like Bolton imploded and the fanbase went in to a collective Stockholm Syndrome with that disinterested lot in Pune. ’We’d be finished without them’, ‘look at Bolton/Bury’, ‘they put in more money than Jack’, ‘who else we gonna get to take on a small club like us?’ The expectations and standards of the fans have dropped markedly post that sorry afternoon at Brentford, and as a result I’d wager that these disgraceful owners have inexplicably never been as popular.
  20. Saw a post on their forum reckoning we’ll still have 4,000 over there, take a zero off they figure and you’d be closer…
  21. Doesn’t mean anything either way. You’re Twitter isn’t representative to the whole fanbase, it will be skewed to folk like you, passionate Rovers fans. Who we need to worry about is the wavering ST holder and the floating fan that don’t engage on Twitter but will quietly walk away.
  22. Another season has gone by since we started hearing all this, no change. Another set of STs released, no change. They (whoever they are) need to pull their finger out or there won’t be much left to change…
  23. Are we getting anywhere regardless?
  24. And that’s just in the BBEnd/Riverside, £489-£529 in the JWU, for a middling second division outfit that has hardly won a game in months, I’m sure that will get the floating fan charging down to the ticket office…
  25. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/april/22/2022-23-season-tickets-out-now-/ On sale before the end of April, wonders never cease… ‘The club is aware of the financial challenges facing fans and their families at present, as such, Rovers are rewarding supporter loyalty by [EXCELLENT, they are finally getting it, so what’s the deal then?]… holding prices for current Season Ticket holders* up until Saturday June 4th [oh]’ But what about getting newbies into the tent? An extra £30 for you, so that will be just the £429-£529. ’Cheap as chips’, indeed, as they go on sale at a minimum of £400-£500 in the midst of a horror run and we journey into into real financial headwinds as a nation… roll up, roll up!
