  1. I’m talking about perception within the game, not that I particularly believe he should be a front runner for Championship jobs - but as I said would it be that much of a shock if he trapped up at a Birmingham or QPR?
  2. Much more of a name in football than GB, with a decent track record at this level - honestly think a few of you aren’t picking up that he definitely has resurrected his standing in the game. As I said, is he really worse than Garry Monk who has managed half the league?
  3. The likes of Monk and Rowett go from Championship job to Championship job without achieving feck all, so I don’t see why TM can’t join them on the merry go round...
  4. Certainly see him getting a Sheff Wed/QPR/Millwall/Reading/Birmingham/Huddersfield etc level job.
  5. He’s certainly resurrected his reputation within the game, if you rate the job he’s doing or not, I could definitely see him getting another Championship gig.
  6. Many of us certainly did, den, and that’s why panic set in with us very quickly when this lot got hold of this fantastic club...
  7. £3 million for Savage, £5million for Bellamy, it was the mid 2000s, not the mid 1990s, they were fantastic value signings from a manager who had a real eye in those days.
  8. There was very little organised ‘protesting’ in the ground, that was mainly done by a few hardy souls elsewhere. Spontaneous eruptions of anger was all we really saw in Ewood - Bolton, West Brom, Swansea, Wigan games - that was to be expected by any crowd.
  9. If Accy had just meekly accepted their place in the foodchain they’d still be in non league, instead it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that we play them next season. It’s called ambition and having owners that strive to make the very best of their club.
  10. Lads, don’t do it to yourselves, he’s been trolling since he joined.
  11. We don’t get the local media asking actual probing questions here. ‘Pressers’ are usually just a collection of gentle throw downs like ... ’Any fresh injuries Tony?’ ’how close to turning the corner do you think you are?’ ‘do you think your performances aren’t getting the results you deserve?’ ’How impressed are you by [enter opposing manager here] ‘
  12. Read a stat that said Watford have had more managers since Pozzo bought the club than Arsenal have had in their entire history.
  13. If negative comments on social media impact your performances ‘badly’ then you just ain’t going to cut it at a decent level in modern football...
  14. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18958353.mowbray-set-venkys-talks-defender-deal-considered/ Won’t be a problem getting funds out of the owners, as they usually need ‘slowing down’, don’t they?
  15. Will we be trying your formation out on the coach to games then?
  16. Some of those teammates of Marshall you mention... Christ we’ve had some serious shite pass through the club this past decade.
  17. So this nutty fella, what we reckon, Dingle or Nobender? Mowbray ‘our most successful manager’ and resurrecting the Steve Kean thread to have a pop at fans.
  18. Ten years on from Sam and half of you still haven’t learnt a fecking thing.
  19. Clubs of our size (and considerably smaller) take 30/40k to Wembley because it’s a day out, so the kids, the missus, the grandma, the next door neighbour’s kids all come down as well.
  20. It is a fair amount of lapsed time when you now only have half a season to go on a contract. Hope you’re right.
  21. Hang on a minute, you said the exact opposite for AA... you said Armstrong should sign a new contract because he owes a debt of gratitude to the club that has improved him and he likes working with Mowbray.
  22. That article BDS posted was nearly 3 months ago, the contract has run down even further and Nyambe’s performances have got better and better... not a good position to be in from a club negotiator perspective.
  23. The booze culture of Bowyer’s time is still prevalent at the club if the Danny Graham edition of the podcast is anything to go by. And it’s why many a talented second tier player goes no further.
  24. So down to just two (injury prone themselves) centre halves for the season and it’s not even Christmas. Who’d have thought it?
  25. The decline of the pitch has been noticeable since they scrapped the separate ground staff teams for Ewood and Brockhall.
